I've been loving the series thus far (not biased at all, I promise) for its refreshingly slow pace, humour, great writing, superb performances, led by Rhea Seehorn and an excellent, classy score by @daveporter_music . Truly fantastic to be a very small part of such an audacious production.
Hailing from my 2015 album Nomad Frequencies 'Vessel' has always had a special place in my heart as it features my dear late grandmother's ancient Rud. Ibach piano (with ties to the silent film era in 1920s Berlin) left, right and centre. It's a very unusual sounding instrument with an almighty resonance and clarity, which I had up until recording 'Vessel' only used as a sound source with lots of prepared objects. But on this track it really takes the spotlight - I think no other instrument could have suited the very particular, insistent vibe. All percussion and drum sounds come from its various innards as well. Glad it still somehow resonates on many years later... :-)

Very excited to announce that my soundtrack to Marie Lidén's BAFTA nominated feature documentary 'Electric Malady' is now officially out on all major platforms!
Produced by @aconitedocs in association with @forestofblack and distributed by @conicfilm , the film was originally released in 2022.
Despite its rather heavy subject, the score was a joy to write, with cello contributions from the amazing @cellopete .

Nomad Frequencies turns 10 this month!
Feels like an eternity ago that my second album came out. Lots of great memories making it despite being the result of a very chaotic period. Structural damage to my flat at the time had everyone in the building evacuated from one hour to the next and thus, with little else than a bag of clothes and my laptop, my nomadic period started with producing this record on the go in various different places and moods.
I rarely listen to old recordings, but this really does take me back to those heady days...*
