With @stephanie_machacha , @christy.escobar , @reece_dossantos , and @aaroncino . Late summers. The Hamptons. Donna and Elise are trying to be sad about their dead friend. Curtis has an app. Langdon just wants the damn lights to turn on. A comedy about memory, mourning, and realizing having it all is never actually enough.

La semana pasada tuve la alegría de ser parte del proceso de trabajo de Almacén, una obra de Julián Mesri, desarrollada en el marco del programa In the Lab del Playwrights’ Center.
Fue una semana intensa de exploración, escucha y creación colectiva. Pero, por sobre todo, fue una semana de “argentinidad al palo”, como dice la Bersuit.
Julián es un dramaturgo argentino-americano radicado en Nueva York, y Almacén transcurre en Argentina: desde el espacio, el lenguaje y los vínculos, hasta el universo emocional que propone la obra. Para mí, fue la primera vez desde que estoy acá que me sumo a un proyecto tan profundamente argentino, y eso trajo una sensación de familiaridad que agradezco mucho. Un poco como estar en casa otra vez.
Una obra muy personal para su autor, y a la vez profundamente universal.
Gracias, Julián, por estos días de argentinidad al palo.
Un equipo hermoso que el Playwrights’ Center supo reunir, una vez más.
En medio de todo lo que estamos atravesando como ciudad, se sintió profundamente valioso sostener el trabajo, el encuentro y la creación.
