To dramatists, from dramatists. These are real notes from writers like you who work in the DGF writing rooms. When you visit our spaces, receive encouragement from your fellow artists, or pick up a pen and leave some inspiration yourself!
Watch DGF’s 2024 Tony Honors Acceptance Speech, accepted by Executive Director Rachel Routh and Board President Andrew Lippa.
Thank you to @thetonyawards for this honor!
Great theater grows from artistic community — from writers who not only create meaningful work of their own but also help sustain the broader ecosystem of storytelling.
We are proud to celebrate DGF Board Members Samuel D. Hunter and James Ijames on this season's well-deserved recognition! Both Sam and James are extraordinary artists whose work is shaping the American theater and whose generosity and leadership continue to support and uplift the community of fellow dramatists around them.
Save the Date! The DGF Gala will be held on October 19, 2026 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. As DGF’s largest annual fundraiser, this unforgettable celebration supports our vital grants and programs that uplift and empower theater writers across the country.
Stay tuned for announcements of our distinguished honorees and performers, and visit dgfgala.com to learn more and buy tickets.
