It’s finally finished! Very happy to share a trailer for Curating Grief: Loss and Objects. This is a film I have been making over the past year with Charlene Lam, @curating_grief . In this film, me and Charlene share our experiences of loss and grief by telling stories of our lost loved ones through the objects they left behind. This is the cornerstone of Charlene’s work and what inspired me to make this film as it was such a unique way of understanding that journey which we all go through. A short #documentary introducing a new collection of pieces from @tommysweetboylee , a multidisciplinary #artist based in #London . In this #shortfilm we see Tommy creating these pieces, while listening to how he has drawn inspiration from the dichotomy between his work in construction and his creative and open life outside of work. Finally able to share some stills from my project with @hopefortheyoung - a charity who support young people seeking asylum in the UK get to grips with their new home through a mentorship program. This program helps young people build confidence with English as well as empowering them creatively and academically. This project, showing the beautiful relationship between mentor and mentee, was such a great pleasure to work on and it was truly inspiring to hear both sides of the story. As an ex mentor I was really driven to show just how valuable this program and others like it are for young people and also how much you stand to gain as an adult through mentoring. I highly recommend checking them out if you are looking to make a real difference! It was also a pleasure to work with such a wonderful team on this project: Director: Me!
