It's been several years since I made a vessel. It's been nice to explore sculpting on vessels with a few of my recent pieces, including this forest god one. . . #jlima_ceramics #nago #princessmononoke #forestgod #sculptalldayeveryday #1746art

Thank you to everyone who stopped by @giantrobotstore for "KILN II " this past weekend. It meant a lot to see familiar faces and talk clay with everyone! It is an honor to show at GR2 Gallery with this group of ceramicists. Thank you for wilding out about clay. There were definitely some questions about Kyūbi no kitsune. All nine tails are sculpted, hollowed out, and then attached to the body in stages so they don't collapse under the weight. The more tails a kitsune has, the more powerful they are. So, nine tails is a very powerful yokai 🦊 #jlima_ceramics #kyūbi #kyūbinokitsune #yokai #foxart #iclayallday

"Meowtopia" opens online today! 🐱 This piece is inspired by a recent reading of "Kafka on the Shore" by Haruki Murakami. If you haven't read it, cats can converse with one of the human characters. The cat characters are one of my favorite parts of the story. Here posh housecat, Mimi, darts through Kawamura the stray's tuna filled dream (his favorite food). I hope you can check out the online show! Thank you for the invite to participate, @poetictigergallery ! 🐟 #kafkaontheshore #jlima_ceramics

This little mouse is ready to party and brought their sake in a gourd. 🍶 They'll be at the "ANIMALS" show opening tomorrow at Giant Robot's new gallery space (next to GR Store). Color reference is inspired by real life rescue mouse, Rupert. Thank you to @cassloop for the show invite. And thank you to all of GR for working hard making it all come together. 🖤 #jlima_ceramics #smallanimalrescue

Black Rabbit of Inlé for the "ANIMALS" show opening up at @giantrobotstore 's new gallery space! It's an honor to be a part of this artist line-up celebrating the next chapter for GR. Curator walk through at 11am, Saturday, April 11th. Stop by the new space and see the art in person at noon. Thank you for the invite to participate, @cassloop . ¡Felicitaciones and gratitude for the entire GR team doing the heavy lifting BTS! I read Watership Down as a young teen and it's still a source of inspiration for me. If you think rabbits are fluffy, sweet, and look cute all day - check yourself and read the book. Or induce nightmares by watching the 1978 animated version. (Swipe right to see the Black Rabbit being fairly benign.) #jlima_ceramics

Rakugaki 8 opens this Saturday, March 14th, at GR2 Gallery @giantrobotstore . I often end up with snippets of urban landscape or botanical drawings on a page, so I used those partial drawn on pages for some of these pieces. Thank you to @giantrobot for the invite to participate and to Team GR for all the BTS magic. #jlima_art #kaiju

A diablito and a kitsune are on their way to @dorado.806 for their fourth annual California Dreaming show 👹 The show opens this Saturday, March 14th, with a reception from 6 - 9pm. On view until March 27th. Come hang out with all the dreams! I got a sneak peek when I dropped off artwork and this year's show is going to a beautiful art buffet. I hope you can check out the show (and the reception is going to be epic). Thank you for the invite to participate, @amelie.laurice and @mderoma.art . Mighty thanks to @fathercecile for hard work BTS 🖤 #jlima_ceramics #jlima_art

There's a kaijū and a diablito in the .99 Store pop-up by Barry McGee x The Hole × Jeffrey Deitch. Find them both in Aisle 2 👹 Shout out to @scottmeskill for his epic figurative piece that stretches from floor into the ceiling and for being a great art neighbor! Big thank you to @giantrobot for the invite to participate. And thank you to @theholenyc for wrangling all the on site logistics. The install team was patient AF. #jlima_ceramics #diablito #kaijū
