Which bunny are you?
"Bonsai Bunnies", 8x10" watercolor and colored pencil on watercolor block paper.
For this 2023 year, there are 23 bunnies in this drawing. I had to check several times because it's not easy to find them or to remember if you already counted 'that one' or not!

I guess I didn't share this to my feed when I made it! I dunno why I haven't much felt like posting here. I like posting to stories better for some reason.
Anyways, here's a little piece I did for the Kaiju show at Giant Robot Store at the end of last year. "Godzilla in a Bottle". I effed around with glow in the dark paint from Michaels and I found out that it only works with direct sun or a uv light! 😭 Weemp womp. So there are parts of the original that do glow! But not just from regular room light. Oh well. I still really like how the piece came out. The GID was just a fun experiment.
I also made prints which came out really nicely. I wish they glowed but alas. Maybe I can figure that out with a printing company some day. For now, I print and cut out all of my own prints with an exacto blade.- Which takes a good amount of care and time. They are made with an amazing printer (Canon pro-10) on the highest quality paper I could find (Canon Luster 🤤)

I've been playing around with smokin' animals in my sketchbooks and head for years and more recently frogs and then there's the creepy crawly monstrosity that I'm calling Little Dragon. She is my son and with your purchase, you will be sending her to college to become a toe doctor. She thanks you from her 7 hearts.
Maybe some day I'll bridge the gap between my thoughts on this heavy world and the art that comes out of my fingies but I think for now it's healthy coping. It doesn't hurt that I feel so DEEPLY content and happy in my friendships and relationships esp with Ms. Samantha and with career and work relationships and this little bubble of mine.
I wish I had time to pump some more out! Even though I am running low on sleep 😴 Thanks for taking the time to 👀🤍

My piece for GR2's 5x7 show is titled "S.S. Mew".
5x7 is a group exhibition of 5 x 7 inch artworks at GR2 Gallery, running from August 23rd, 2025 to September 9th, 2024.
It felt healthy and regenerative to just sit down and make a playful piece full of mini stories - seemingly light hearted. And yet, in doing some journaling, I realized that this image likely subconsciously came out of the thought/feeling of, "it all just feels like so much". Not so light-hearted but truthful! Collectively I know we all feel it. I'm just glad for the people who draw community in closer and hold each other up and do their best to stay informed, learn and grow. Appreciate you all so much ❤️
