The work will be shown in London at @1014.gallery (24Apr-29May) and in Dublin at Photo Ireland @image.museum.ireland (10Sep-25Oct) together with the other winners.
This video still is part of my project 4ever &ver &ver (video 001) and my ongoing research into how young people navigate a world where the boundaries between online and offline are constantly blurring. It explores how young people navigate a new social reality shaped by visibility, performance, and platform logic.
This scene reflects the paradox of our time: constant connection paired with quiet isolation.

We continue introducing the 40 artists selected through the Regional Open Call East and Southeast Asian Panorama and the 45 artists from the Global Open Call Women by Women. Chosen from thousands of submissions by our esteemed juries, these artists will be exhibited at the PhotoVogue Festival 2026 in Milan.
Todayโs second artist is @jipschalkx ,a photographer and visual artist with a background in visual communication and graphic design. Her work โOne Anotherโ, selected through the Global Open Call, focuses on the complex relationship between mothers and daughters, with identity, expectations, and personal growth at its core.

Within this work Schalkx captured a carefully constructed world, wherein time stands still. Caught in a beautiful trap, a quiet sense of being stuck slowly creeps in. Itโs a subtle tension between the slow rhythms of affection and the desire to escape the townโs embrace.
