We are delighted to announce Jims Lam as the curator for PAVILION Hong Kong. Jims Lam is an independent curator based in Hong Kong and the Director of Knotting Space, a forthcoming exhibition platform located at H Queen’s. His recent curatorial practice focuses on developing new models of exhibition engagement and collaborative presentation. He was also the Director and Curator of Supper Club 2025, an alternative art fair that brought together 23 galleries through an experimental, curator -led format. He is currently the Curator for Pavilion Hong Kong, continuing to work with galleries on exhibition development and presentation frameworks. He has curated exhibitions for institutions including the Goethe-Institut, British Council, Tai Kwun, Para Site, and Blindspot Gallery. “Rather than isolated booths, we’re building a dynamic system where participants support each other through proximity and shared context. With Knotting Space running in parallel at H Queen’s, PAVILION becomes a week of connected threads. The curatorial idea is simple: tie different sensibilities together and let the tension do the work.”—Jims Lam

The event takes place from March 23-28 across the 11/F and 12/F at Venue Partner H Queen’s. Founded by Hong Kong gallerists Willem Molesworth and Ysabelle Cheung of PHD Group, PAVILION is inspired by similar alternative models such as Basel Social Club, Onsen Confidential, and Supper Club, which ran for two successful editions in Hong Kong. As galleries continue to shutter across the globe and hyper-commercially driven markets fluctuate, new collaborative models are not only needed but absolutely necessary for survival, Molesworth says.  “With PAVILION, we aspire to change the way people collect and engage with art,” Molesworth continues. “Our model not only encourages greater discovery, but also creates space for art lovers to slow down and appreciate a work of art with greater depth. A sales pitch becomes a conversation at PAVILION, and we hope this ignites passion, engagement, commitment, courage, and authenticity in the collecting process.” Text continues in the comments below 👇

What’s in this image? In 1986, while preparing for a Henry Moore exhibition, a helicopter airlifted one of his sculptures to the formerly Queen’s Pier. A second helicopter can be spotted in the background. It was, quite literally, a monumental event. One local critic even joked that it felt like a divine offering—Henry Moore sent down from the sky. 🌱🗿📖 #MooresVisionsMoreRevisions #BritishCouncilHK #BookshopGallery #HenryMoore #ContemporaryArt #Chihoi #WilsonShieh #LiaoWen #ZhengBo #ArtExhibition #HongKongArt

@kueis Emily Kueis: Skin in Limbo Opening tomorrow — 29 May, 6–8pm @squarestreetgallery Subtle, symbolic, and emotionally charged—Emily’s paintings emerge through layers of thin oil wash, pigment, and erasure. Come by and spend time with a body of work that doesn’t explain, but lingers. #EmilyKueis #SkinInLimbo #SquareStreetGallery #ContemporaryArt #hongkongartscene

📣OPENING SAVE THE DATE: Thu 29 May 6 - 8 pm Square Street Gallery is pleased to present “Skin in Limbo” by Emily Kueis @kueis , marking the artist’s debut solo exhibition with the gallery. At its centre are three new large-scale oil paintings. Shown alongside recent works on canvas and paper, they form a kind of metaphysical landscape shaped by a pictorial language that unfolds like a diary, reflecting Kueis’ shifting sense of self, place, and identity as a painter in Hong Kong. Join us on the 29th May from 6 - 8 pm for the opening reception.
