What a way to kick off 2025—I’m on the cover of Women’s Health Magazine!! What!!!🥹
I reflect on my journey since 2015, I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. I remember waking up each day yearning for change back in Trinidad and Tobago, trapped in the depths of a dark depression, spiraling down a path I knew wasn’t meant for me.
It was fitness that pulled me back to life, though I never imagined it would lead to moments like this. I fought with everything I had, sacrificing my comfort and pushing through when no one believed in me. In the environment I came from, dreams are just distant fantasies.
Fast forward to 2017: I took a leap of faith, packing my bags and moving to America without a solid plan, fueled only by the belief that something better was out there for me. Each rejection, disappointment, and failure became a stepping stone to keep moving forward.
In a world where it’s so easy to be unheard as a WOC I knew I had to be a little extra LOUD and BOLD! That’s why I created my own community, and I am profoundly grateful for my sisters who stand by me.🥺
This moment is for all the brown girls out there dreaming. The world is yours— You just gotta be a lil BOLD with it! 🖤

Started this year with a clear mind and intentional goals. The gym has been my therapy, my safe space, and my reminder that progress takes time. Not trying to rush anything, just committed to showing up and putting in the work every single day for me. 💪🏾
I was scared to make the jump to move… but I knew I needed a fresh start.
Dallas is beginning to feel like the place where I rebuild myself, as a woman, a mom, a wife, and a creator bringing L1FT to a new city.😳
Some days I’m confident, some days I’m overwhelmed, and some days I’m just pushing through postpartum trying to find my rhythm again. But here I am, first time getting out the house. I’m showing up. And I’m slowly finding my flow in this new season/City.
Today I took Joya to our first mom-and-baby Pilates class, and she was the sweetest little partner. Doing tummy time the entire session like she already knows she’s my gym buddy. 🥺🤍 Being with her, exploring Dallas together, creating our own routine… it makes the hard days feel lighter. ❤️
November stretched me, softened me, and strengthened me all at once.
Even on the loud days, I still showed up in the ways I could. I wasn’t in the gym like I hoped, but between motherhood and moving into a new home, we made it through.😅
Grateful for this chapter and ready to finish the year strong. 🤎
