What happens when we notice the unexpected connections in our community? Sometimes, extraordinary collaborations emerge 🧱✨
We’ve been exploring how diverse talents strengthen our regional ecosystem, and today’s ribbon cutting beautifully illustrates this discovery. When we learned about Jeff Chapman (
@jeff.moc ) - a graphic designer whose LEGO recreations of Salem’s historic houses had captured local imagination - we wondered: what might happen if we introduced him to our partner
@peabodyessex ?
Together with
@lego , they’ve created something remarkable: The Brick Box, where Jeff’s meticulous builds of PEM’s historic properties invite us all to see our architectural heritage through fresh eyes. Notice the autumn leaves on tiny trees, the minifigure trick-or-treaters, the hidden details that reveal themselves slowly - each element reflecting our shared story.
What strikes us most? How a designer’s weekend passion project can evolve into a cultural experience that enriches our entire community through December. From the Ropes Mansion to the Gardner-Pingree House, these builds remind us that creativity lives everywhere - in design studios, museums, and the quiet moments when someone decides to share their unique perspective.
Our friends at
@salemchamber helped celebrate this morning’s opening with the official ribbon cutting , another example of how our regional organizations collaborate to spotlight innovation. Every purchase supports PEM’s mission, creating a sustainable cycle of community investment.
We’re curious: What unexpected connections have shaped your own journey? How might your unique skills or passions contribute to our collective vibrancy? Let’s explore these questions together.
