About 7 years ago, soon after we moved to Colorado, I saw a post on the 14ers.com forum that someone was looking for photos to help promote a race he was hoping to start the following year. Little did I know that post would literally change my life! A few days later @alpinerunner and I plotted over maps in a bar, and the next summer was the first running of the @highlonesome100 . I shot that stormy and exhausting race with @mil90photo and was hooked! Twenty races and tens of thousands of photos later, race photography is an important and rewarding part of my life. I'm so grateful to still be shooting the HL100 (and other races) with Mile 90, and proud to have a cover photo on the current issue of @ultrarunningmag . Definitely did not see this in the cards for this side hustle 7 years ago, but it has a secret goal for a long time that is fun to see happen.

ALL YEAR I have been excited to share this video! Rinse the doom of 2020 off your soul with sunrises, stars, storms, and alpenglow - all my favorite timelapses I shot this year in 3 minutes. . Personally, there have been times this year when it seems like the good things will never be the same and that the future will always be this bleak. Experiencing these beautiful scenes of creation at its best (seriously, check out the fire on those mountains!) has been a one-of-a-kind gloombuster...walking the line between being figuratively and literally *life-giving*. I hope some of that translates from the tens of thousands of photos that went into this project. .
