Decode 3.0 展覽已經喺2月8號圓滿結束，衷心多謝大家嚟參與！ 呢次近2個月嘅展期包括展覽、演出同座談，Future Lab作為一個平台，見證咗唔少有趣嘅對話，對話甚至延伸到更開闊嘅想像。我哋好快就會發布活動精華，期待下個展覽再同大家見面。 The Decode 3.0 exhibition wrapped up successfully on February 8th. We sincerely thank everyone who joined us! Throughout the two-month exhibition period, which featured displays, performances, and dialogues, Future Lab served as a platform that witnessed many interesting conversations, extending even to broader imaginations. 【 用圖像拼貼聲音 Collaging Sound with Images 】 錄像藝術家林穎詩帶住樂善堂王仲銘中學十一位中五學生，用「圖像拼貼」重新演繹廣東歌。 同學仔由歌詞出發，構思MV人物、場景同物件，從報紙雜誌剪低素材，加埋喺日常生活拍攝嘅影像，創作成豐富嘅 mood board。喺跨媒介創作之中，文字同圖像之間可以互相對話，同學們透過觀察、理解、重組，將廣東歌變成一個開放嘅實驗場所。 作品最後集結成展覽，作品充滿驚喜！ Video artist Lam Wing Sze worked with eleven Form 5 students from Lok Sin Tong Wong Chung Ming Secondary School to reinterpret Cantopop through photo collage. Starting from the lyrics, students imagined the characters, scenes, and objects of their music videos. They cut out images from newspapers and magazines, combined them with footage captured from everyday life, and developed mood boards. Through this cross-media process, text and images begin to “converse” . By observing, interpreting, and reassembling, students turned Cantonese songs into an open space for experimentation. TFS | 演出回顧 Performance Recap 由 JC Future Lab 委約陳濬人（Adonian Chan）創作的《雷公聲陣》，最近以全新形式走進東九文化中心《TFS》舞台。這次演出版本將裝置規模擴大一倍，動用了 80 支 Tesla Coil，讓作品由展覽空間延伸到現場表演，發展出一種截然不同的能量與張力。 這次TFS以關家傑（Alan Kwan）與 Jordan Gheen 的即興演奏貫穿全場，《雷公聲陣》做到幾乎零延遲與音樂精準同步，舞者林悅榮（Bobby Lam）與音樂、裝置同時互動即興，《雷公聲陣》又會將舞者的動作轉化成聲音與可視的電流，重現人類「獲得」超能力的快感。加上王星會（Samson Wong）的投影創作，令整個空間化成流動的感官建築，在控制、精密與失控之間，展現出震撼而且深邃的觀影體驗。 感謝 Jazz Society 於 3 月 12 至 14 日 帶來《TFS》，讓《雷公聲陣》得以用另一種形式繼續延伸與演化。 ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ Commissioned by JC Future Lab and created by Adonian Chan, “Loei Gong Orchestra” recently took on a new form on the stage of “TFS” at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre. Expanded to twice its original scale for this performance, the installation featured 80 Tesla coils, allowing the work to evolve from an exhibition piece into a live performance experience with a distinctly different energy and tension. Throughout “TFS”, improvisations by Alan Kwan and Jordan Gheen formed the sonic backbone of the performance, while “Loei Gong Orchestra” achieved near-zero-latency synchronization with the music. Dancer Bobby Lam improvised in real time with both the music and the installation, while Loei Gong Orchestra transformed his movements into sound and visible currents of electricity, evoking the thrill of momentarily acquiring superhuman power. Combined with Samson Wong’s projection work, the entire space was transformed into a fluid sensory architecture, creating a viewing experience that was at once striking and profound, poised between control, precision, and chaos. Our thanks to Jazz Society for presenting TFS from March 12 to 14, and for allowing Loei Gong Orchestra to continue to evolve in a new form. 【餐桌故事 Dining Experience | 光雕投影課程成果展示 Projection Mapping Coursework Exhibition】 一張餐桌，承載的不只是食物；在光與影之間，也藏著人的記憶與情感。 在藝術家勞麗麗 @sqlai 的帶領下，香港真光中學的中五學生透過光雕投影（Projection Mapping），探索藝術科技與說故事的可能。他們把日常使用的食具、器皿和烹調工具帶進課堂，從自己的生活經驗出發，透過書寫與影像創作，學習素材蒐集、剪接與重組。當影像投射在實物上，光與影為熟悉的物件帶來新的樣貌，也延伸出新的故事。 這次成果展示集合了學生的創作。每件作品都圍繞「餐桌故事」這個主題，分享關於飲食文化與日常習慣的片段，邀請觀眾在光影之中慢慢觀看，感受屬於他們的創作與想像。 A dining table holds more than food — between light and shadow, it also carries memories and emotions. Led by artist Lo Lai Lai Natalie, S5 students from The True Light School of Hong Kong explored the possibilities of storytelling through projection mapping. Bringing everyday utensils, tableware, and kitchen tools into the classroom, they began with their own lived experiences. Through writing and moving-image experiments, they learned how to gather materials, edit, and recompose footage. When projected onto physical objects, light and shadow gave familiar items new forms — and new stories. This exhibition brings together the students’ works under the theme Dining Experience. 之前聊過「沉浸式藝術」的魅力，今天想為大家介紹一件充滿詩意的本地作品——《Ondées 穀雨》（2025 東九龍文化中心 @ekcc.hk ） 這件多媒體裝置由金曲獎得主、爵士結他手關家傑 @alankwanmusic 與法籍媒體藝術家林思柏 @sebastien.labrunie 聯手創作，靈感來源於雨後的大地氣息。 在現場，關家傑聯同爵士鋼琴家李梓禾 @1fool1cub__ 即興演奏，爵士樂的音符即時轉化成流動的影像投影，反過來，變幻的視覺又會引導音樂家的下一步演奏。 觀眾可以在裝置音樂會中欣賞到春雨的詩意，雨水時而細語如絲、時而傾瀉而下，讓人沉浸在那稍縱即逝的自然詩意，感受到一種在自然的禪意。 Previously, we discussed the allure of "immersive art." Today, we’d like to introduce a beautifully poetic local work—《Ondées 穀雨》 (2025) at @ekcc.hk . This multimedia installation is a collaboration between Golden Melody Awards winner and jazz guitarist Alan Kwan and French media artist Sébastien Labrunie. The inspiration comes from that fresh, earthy scent after rain—the petrichor that lingers in the air. During the live performance, Alan collaborates with jazz pianist Bowen Li for an improvisational session, where every note of the jazz transforms into flowing visual projections. These changing visuals then guide the musicians' next steps. Audiences can appreciate the poetry of spring rain during this installation concert, where the rain whispers softly at times and cascades down at others, immersing them in the fleeting beauty of nature, evoking a sense of meditation amidst the natural world. 沉浸式藝術的浪潮在香港和國際間逐漸蓬勃發展，這類作品不僅融入了創新科技和互動性，還能引發觀眾的情感共鳴。知名的TeamLab和Rain Room等國外展覽大受好評，以TeamLab的作品「呼應燈森林── 一筆」為例，當觀眾走近裝置時，燈光和聲響會被觸發，隨之蔓延開去。不同觀眾所產生的光軌最終交匯，留下平滑的軌跡。這不僅展現了光線連續性之美，也將人與人之間的無形聯繫，轉化為視覺和聽覺的體驗。 在香港，沉浸式藝術的發展同樣引人矚目。2025年開幕的東九文化中心 @ekcc.hk 不僅提供舞台演出，還會展出沉浸式裝置藝術作品。此外，啟德體育園的FutureScope @futurescope.dome 則是香港首個大型半球體沉浸式藝術空間，從現在到四月期間，正展出三組沉浸式作品：《恆定錄》、《共振之靈》和《浪書》。這些展覽不僅豐富了本地的文化生活，也為觀眾帶來全新的感官探索與藝術體驗。 The wave of immersive art is gradually thriving in Hong Kong and internationally, with these works not only incorporating innovative technology and interactivity but also evoking emotional resonance in audiences. Renowned international exhibitions such as TeamLab and Rain Room have received widespread acclaim. For instance, in TeamLab's work "Forest of Resonating Lamps - One Stroke", when viewers approach the installation, lights and sounds are triggered and spreading outward. The light trails created by different viewers ultimately intersect, leaving smooth paths behind. This not only showcases the beauty of the continuity of light but also transforms the intangible connections between people into visual and auditory experiences. In Hong Kong, the development of immersive art is equally noteworthy. The upcoming East Kowloon Cultural Centre, set to open in 2025, will not only offer stage performances but also showcase immersive installation art. Additionally, FutureScope at Kai Tak Sports Park is Hong Kong's first large-scale immersive art dome, currently exhibiting three sets of immersive works: "Perpetual Records," "Resonance Aura," and "Waving Script," from now until April.
