Your story is told through the things you collect. The pieces you live with, art, objects, a chair you couldn’t pass up, all of it adds up to something far more interesting than anything overly “designed.” When a space reflects what you love, it starts to feel layered, personal, and entirely your own. #JayJeffers 📷: @samfroststudio . . . #MaximalistInteriors #VintageCollection #InteriorDesign

Spring in Healdsburg is in full bloom and it looks good on The Madrona! When designing it, I wanted to move away from the traditional hotel feel and create a sanctuary that feels entirely residential. Every texture was selected to create surprising moments as you move through the halls and rooms. It’s these specific details, like the weight of a fabric or the curve of a chair, that make a space feel lived in and full of character.#JayJeffers 📷 : @matthewmillmanphoto . . . #TheMadrona #Healdsburg #BoutiqueHotel #InteriorDesign #SpringDesign

Creativity is what keeps me going, and not just in the obvious ways. Of course I love the early concept phase, the drawing, the brainstorming, the big ideas. But creativity also shows up in the problem-solving, figuring out how a kitchen should function, how a space should flow, and how people will actually live in it. That mix of beauty and practicality is where the work gets really interesting, and seeing it all come to life for a client never gets old. #JayJeffers . . . #InteriorDesign #DesignProcess #creativemindset

The kitchen is the rhythm of the home, where we gather, create, and where design truly meets the demands of daily life. I have long admired @Miele for their precision and longevity, which is why I'm elated to announce my role as a Miele Masters brand ambassador through 2027! For me, design is about balancing soul with high performance. Premium appliances should be much more than just functional; they need to look as exceptional as they work. Over the next two years, I’ll be taking you behind the scenes as we integrate Miele’s thoughtful engineering into my projects, moving beyond the standard showroom look to create spaces that are effortlessly luxurious. Stay tuned for a first look at what we’re cooking up! 👀 #JayJeffers . . . #DesignMeetsLife #MieleMasters #PrecisionAndLongevity #ModernLuxuryKitchens

See you soon, New York! I’m looking forward to joining @jsmprojectmgmt and @peterdavisnyc at the @danddbuilding on May 14 for a conversation on where design vision meets technical execution, and what it really takes to bring ambitious ideas into the built world. We’ll be gathering at the Ancient & Modern showroom for the discussion, followed by a preview celebration of the new café and terrace. This is a trade-only event, and I’d love to see my fellow industry peers there. ⏰ Thursday, May 14; 9:30 AM EDT 📍Ancient & Modern, D&D Building, Suite 1522 RSVP via the link in bio! . . . #DesignVision #BigIdeasInDesign

A library should never feel like it was designed in a rush. The most inviting spaces are the ones that feel gathered over a lifetime. When you mix in well-loved books, personal art, and found objects, the room starts to tell a real story. #JayJeffers 📷: @samfroststudio , @matthewmillmanphoto @douglasfriedman . . . #homelibrary #librarydesign #interiordetails #collectedstyle

Paint is great, but an scenic wallpaper brings the actual drama! 💃 I’m always on the hunt for prints with a hand-painted quality or a real sense of history. When a wallcovering has soul, it changes the entire room, it feels more layered, more intentional, and a lot less forgettable. #JayJeffers . . . #wallpaperdecor #interiordesignideas #statementwallpaper #patternplay

Excited to be featured in the latest issue of @galeriemagazine alongside such a talented group of creatives! For this Lake Michigan log cabin, we wanted to create an all-seasons refuge that could handle the elements without giving up an ounce of style. We leaned into a “nothing too precious” approach, mixing personality-packed pieces, like a 19th-century French daybed, with performance fabrics that can stand up to wet swimsuits, snowy winters, and real life. As I talk about in my new book, Modern Classic, the best spaces strike a balance between classical reference and practical comfort. Whether you’re catching a summer breeze through the removable windows or wrapping up in a cashmere blanket, this is a room meant to be enjoyed year-round. #JayJeffers . . . #GalerieMagazine #ModernClassic #InteriorDesign #Sunroom #LakeMichigan #DesignInspiration

Making a bathroom feel like a spa is all about the ambiance. 🌿 I’m not a fan of harsh overheads, give me soft, layered lighting any day. It instantly changes the mood. Add in a few grounding tones and the space starts to feel less utilitarian and a lot more like somewhere you actually want to spend time. #JayJeffers . . . #bathroomdesign #interiordetails #spabath #moodlighting

Bespoke luxury is all about the layers. For the @luxemagazine Spring Fling feature, I blended textured textiles with sculptural brass accents to create my "Golden Ticket" mood board. I started with a sun-drenched palette from the @phillipjeffriesltd backdrop, inspired by the rich, soulful yellow used on my New York apartment ceiling. Since this was for the spring issue, that specific tone felt right. It has a certain depth that avoids looking too bright or candy colored. By layering in those tones with intricate details from my own collection with Accurate Lock and Hardware, the final look feels grounded yet fresh. Every element was chosen to celebrate a space that feels both intentional and unique. #JayJeffers . . . #luxeinteriors #moodboard #designprocess #luxeinteriors #phillipjeffries

Truly honored to be named the recipient of the DSA 360° Design Award for 2026. Looking back at where this all started, sewing my own curtains in a tiny apartment on a shoestring budget, and seeing where the studio is today, I feel incredibly lucky. Design has always been about people and stories for me. It’s about creating spaces that feel collected and authentic. Receiving this recognition from my peers and the Designer Society of America is a beautiful reminder of why I fell in love with this industry in the first place. A huge thank you to the @dsa.society board, Tara Duncan for the kind words, and of course, my incredible team in San Francisco and New York. I’m grateful to the architects, artisans, and clients who trust us to help bring these visions to life. It's been a remarkable journey so far, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds! #JayJeffers . . . #InteriorDesign #DesignInspiration #LuxuryInteriors

A single color, pushed with intention. @jayjeffers centers his moodboard on ochre yellow, carrying it across materials and finishes for a look that feels cohesive and confident. Bold, but controlled.
