Grateful to all of my clients who trusted me with their music. This last year had some incredible music made by @hebdomusic , @thedevildoves , @shawnpricemusic , @aodmade Bubble Made Imagination, Lost Orchards, @telanderjohanna , @ericransommusic , @landlockedsailorband , @kidmammoth_is_okay , @sethportenlanger , @onlyinthemornings , @visionswords , @lyndahasseler@capitaluniversitychapelchoir , @philnagy and Russ Nagy, @jacksonbeardmusic , and many more. 🔊
As I reflect on the year, I continue to strive for quality over quantity and meaningful relationships above all else. I’m grateful to work with so many talented creatives across both the music and film worlds, people who are not only incredible at what they do, but genuinely great to spend time with. From living rooms and garages to cabins, concert halls, studios, and stadiums. From stereo to ATMOS, and locations all across the country, I had the chance to be part of a wide range of exciting projects across a diverse palette of work. Cheers to a great 2025, and here’s to what’s ahead in 2026 🥂 🎉 🎧
My dad took me to many concerts when I was a kid ..MC Hammer, Bush, Metallica, Dave Matthews just to name a few… so I thought it was time I take him to one, after all he had never seen a Beatle in person before.
Paul did not disappoint. It was quite an amazing show. Nothing like singing “na, na na, na na na na..” with 20,000 people. Very grateful to have been able to go along with my dad who shares my love of music and the Beatles.
Many highlights from the night. Some of my favorite moments are the stories he would tell in between songs. It’s like sitting in the living room with your grandpa, only it’s Paul talking about Hendrix, Clapton, John and George. The visuals were just as stunning as the sounds. Feeling grateful. Feeling inspired.
Next we welcome the Leon Russell classic "Shootout on the Plantation"
A pretty rowdy song involving some triangular love feelings.

Full Live Tide album comes out in March '25 !
Always been a big fan of Leon Russell and his singular stroke of genius. Here we tackle an early classic of his LIVE. So much energy in the original recording and fingers crossed we paid homage to an elder.
It was important to capture the live performance on video so the outside world could see just how much we enjoy ourselves and indulge in the magic that is always present with this grouping of musical souls
We showed up real early in the mornin' and I wasn't sure where my head was or how much we could actually get done but we def exceeded our own expectations. What a day. Expect more soon.
Eternal thanks to all the folks I get to make sweet musical sounds with, especially these fellas. Mike James (guitar) Cory Webb (drums) Luke Holmes (keys) & Mark Subel (bass)
Had a really great session recording @hebdomusic last week. I setup the room so Joey could play and sing live. We did multiple options of mics to be able to pick and choose, or blend as needed later on.
@pearlmanmicrophones 47 tube mic and @beyerdynamic m160 ribbon mic on vocals. @chameleonlabs ts1 tube mics in stereo on acoustic, with a Coles 4038 ribbon mic as a mono acoustic option, or as a center anchoring the wide stereo image. Had a spaced pair of @stamaudio u87 in the room in Omni for some natural room verb. Close mics on foot drums along with recording some custom made samples that we crafted for his drums at an earlier time.
With correct placement, all the mics played nicely in phase with each other as they were recorded in. Most importantly, tried to set the right vibe and energy so Joey could be comfortable and just play. With some rough mixing I can already tell these tracks are gonna sound amazing 🤩
Props to Joey, not every musician can do this. Lucky to have someone as talented as him behind those mics who can nail his vocals live take after take 🎧🎙️
Had a great time in Kansas City last weekend. Got to mic up Brooke Shields, Donna Kelce (Travis’s mom), Dr. Bayo, Gina Torres, and Roselyn Sánchez, as well as many other influencers, and leading ladies at an event before the Kansas City Chiefs game. It was an action packed day but everything went super smooth!
Setup day involved RF scan and wireless coordination. I was told we needed 4 channels of wireless, so I brought 6 wireless, and 2 mixer packages with 2 BDS systems because that’s how I roll when I travel. I opted to bring my DSR4 / 4-DBSMD because they are broadband, and when in a new city give me full flexibility of what frequencies I can use. I researched the tv frequencies for Kansas City ahead of time and saw that the B block was heavily congested, so for my 5/6th wireless I brought my zaxcom because they also have broadband RF and give me the ability to transmit and record a backup if needed. Coordinated them all easily with wireless designer software. We wound up actually needing 5 wireless, so I was happy I had extra and they were all dialed in :) I used my zaxcom IFB and ERX for camera sync / audio scratch.
And… it wouldn’t be a trip to Kansas City without trying some BBQ. Joe’s Kansas City BBQ is definitely the winner and worth all the praise. Thanks @lightsonkc for the bbq recommendation and the G&E gear. Go with the pork z-man sandwich if you ever are out that way 🏈🎧
Kicking off the year with the Ohio State Buckeyes as they get ready for the National Championship game. Mixing location sound on some pre-game interviews with the players and Coach Day. 🏈
Two camera shoot with the @arri Alexa 35 and Amira, timecode sync to both cameras. Rockin my @sennheiser mkh8050 for boom, @dpa_microphones lavs, @lectrosonics_inc wireless, and @sounddevices 833, all sounding great 🎧🎬
Had an amazing time learning from the best of the best, my all-time favorite music mixer, @michael_brauer_ , for a 3 day mixing workshop at Sweetwater Studios. Feeling grateful, feeling inspired and ready to level up my mixing.
An abundance of priceless knowledge, captivating stories, hearty laughs, and profound insights into the mindset of a world-class mixer. And met a lot of new friends along the way. The passion for music was contagious and I look forward to seeing what everyone does next. Lots of great music down the pipeline… Let’s go!! 🎧🔊

Had a great time last week teaming up with @ericvaudio on a shoot for Honda. Had up to 12 wireless mics happening, a wireless feed from a tour guide, wireless mix to 2 cameras, wireless feed from the other mixer bag, tc sync all around and multiple Ifb headsets.
Luckily was able to grab some Rf scans from the 2 locations the day prior and create solid Rf coordination using wireless designer, and it worked out great! We had backup freq coordinated too, and also some record-only tx avail as backups if we got in a pinch once we were rolling since no time to test before or stop down after we start. We had @lectrosonics_inc wireless and @sounddevices 8 series recorders holding down the foundation and @zaxcom for camera hops and ifb.
The biggest challenge was navigating through an active factory during a live tour and helping to ensure our cam ops didn’t back pedal into a forklift👷🏻♂️Everyone stayed safe and I think we made a very challenging shoot look pretty seamless 🎧🚙
And on some days, this is rocket science 🚀
Doing some NASA level location sound up in Cleveland at the NASA Glenn Research Center on a fun documentary project.

All wrapped up with our second shoot with Magic Johnson, this time in Dallas, Texas. Nice way to finish my 40th birthday celebrations and kick off this next decade. So amazing to get to work with such a legend and my all-time favorite player. Very grateful to get to do this job and for all the places it takes me.
