Here are the projections that play every evening between 8pm and 2am. The theme for May is kaleidoscopic, and I’m considering something like space or mechanical for June. I’m not really sure yet, but what I started drawing is pretty cool. For now, the current display is at the corner of Gallitan Street and Baltimore Avenue in Hyattsville, MD. It’s right across from @franklinsbrewery and being projected on the @pyramidatlantic building.

“Wayne and the Bats” The greatest cover band of all time.

The idea was to create a work of art that would add a unique artistic experience to the already thriving arts community in the Gateway Arts District. Yesterday was the official install day and I wanted to share some photos from that task, and now I have to honor to present to you “Wet Shoes Will Melt If You Put Them In The Oven To Dry” (I know this from experience). This series of videos combines digital paintings and motion to create a captivating visual experience. The display is located on Gallatin Street, and Baltimore Ave. on the side of the Sohy Arts Building. Look for the neon sign that says Peep Show, then look on the wall behind you. The projection starts each night at 8pm and runs until midnight. Next week I’ll extend it until 2am. There’s also a little screen in the window that plays videos 24 hours a day. This project was funded by the @cityofhyattsville Corridor Investment Grant.

I always thought Back to the Future II was in the same boat as Sister Act II. Both are sequels, but you remember absolutely nothing about the movie that preceded it. I mean really… What do you remember from the first Sister Act movie? My point exactly. Anyway… “Great Scott”

It’s seems that these larger scale @lego cars match pretty well with the 6 inch @marvel action figures. I have quite a few of both, and it’s kind of fun making these photos. Anyway… Miles G. out here whippin the foreign.

Back in 2023 I had the opportunity to meet the crew of the Artemis II at the @airandspacemuseum as they prepared for their historical trip around the moon. It’s been a few years since that time, and the launch is actually scheduled for today. I’m really fascinated with space exploration, and maybe they’ll let me tag along the next time. I’m sure they can figure out a way to utilize my photography services. Anyway… This is also the same day I took what I believe is one of the coolest photos I’ve ever captured. I’m not here as much as I used to be, and I’m not sure if that will change. My focus is on other things, but every once in a while I need to revisit this place. There’s so much character in this corner of creativity.

Forty-Two For the last few years I’ve shared what I would call a reflection post on my birthday. It gives me an opportunity to do some self evaluating and to also let you know what’s going on in my life. My forties have been good. God is good, I have a wonderul, loving, beautiful, supporting, and caring wife. All three of my children are honor roll students. My family is good, and we are blessed beyond measure. My career is good. This upcoming year will bring me to 20 years with the State, which means that I am on the back end of that chapter in my life. Since opening in 2024, @station_3510 has hosted more workshops/classes than would ever imagine, and almost two dozen art exhibits. I’m still working with @ngadc and the @nats4good , which is a wonderful blessing and also changed the direction of my photography. I’ve become more of a documentarian, which is actually really cool. As I get older I find myself being very self aware, and I go through this whole self evaluation thing on a daily basis (which is annoying). I think a lot more before I speak, so I find myself speaking less. I’m more intentional with how I move through life now, but that also leads me to being a little gullible with individuals that may not move the same. I still need to take better care of myself, but I’m a work in progress. Purpose is a fascinating thing. I believe that when you operate in your purpose God will bless everything you touch. He will also bless those around you, and provide you with the tools you need to continue the trend. There are so many things I have to be thankful for and those things increase on a daily basis. So yeah… That’s forty-two
