I recently had the opportunity to work with one of the best photographers in the industry. His name is @jason_armond and he is a photographer for the @latimes . He is an amazing person and his work speaks for itself. A little while ago he shared a vision of a photo set for the Toronto International Film Festival that would be both one of a kind, and push the boundaries of creativity. That vision required me to paint the largest backdrop I’ve ever created, which was 10ft x 20ft. As you know, my backdrops are pieces of art and they are always created with that in mind. Each brush stroke was made by hand, and after hours and hours the result is beautiful.
Fast forward to today, and I am amazed at the result. I had no idea that it would be used to capture some of my favorite celebrities. This is so cool and it makes it all worth while.

When I originally shared this photo it was from the magazine spread that included this and other amazing photos taken by the amazingly talented Mark Clennon. I wanted to share a better version of the image, because that one did not give it the attention it truly deserved. This company was started as an attempt to support the creative community by providing a resource that could possibly add a little extra flavor to a body of work. It’s amazing to experience where a dream will take you, and it’s also amazing to have the support of the entire community. These backdrops have touched almost all time zones in this country, and some of the most inspiring people have used them and also been photographed in front of them. It is truly an honor to be able to provide such a tool, and I will make sure I keep at it.✌🏾

Just wrapped a session with Aisha Bowe and I’m still sitting with it.
Rocket scientist. NASA alum. The first African American woman to fly with Blue Origin and the sixth to cross the Kármán line.
The conviction it takes to build a life like that — on your own terms, against whatever stands in the way — is something I have a lot of respect for. I heard just a fraction of her story and it was enough to inspire me to keep pushing forward with my own.

Finally got around to making a few stock drops. These are 5ft x 7ft, which is a little smaller than the standard 6ft x 9ft.
Keep an eye out for a few eclectic ones coming in the next few days. In the meantime these are available on the website, and I’ll post a link in the stories.

The request was to paint a cloudy background on a 10ft x 15ft canvas, and that backdrop you see is the result. This is such a cool photo and the set is awesome.

Sometimes the paint bleeds through our backdrops and makes the back side really cool. I guess you can say it’s the back of the back.
