For the last year, I put all of my creative energy into a singular story that I’ve dreamt of telling for years. So many variations, long nights, rewrites, and epiphanies. In the process, I learned so much about our people, the land, and myself, and now more than ever believe this story needs to be told to the world. This is a story about our people, our history, our truth. A story that honors all Wabanaki people and centers our world. I am incredibly honored and grateful to be one of the fellows for this years @sundanceorg Native Lab. It is a surreal moment for me and is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. In so many ways this lab represents a wonderful next chapter, both for my story and my life. Congratulations to all of the amazing filmmakers and artists in this years Labs! I am so excited to see your work in the world!

I am super excited to announce that my first short film, Bay of Herons, will be playing at the 2024 #Sundance Film Festival as part of the short film program! I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have my film shown at the 40th edition of the festival, and I still can’t quite believe it. The festival will take place January 18th-28th, both in person and online. I hope to see some of you there!

Our latest installment in the Recovery in Maine series is a special one. We couldn't be more proud to share a few stills -- and some BTS shots! -- from RECOVERY IN MAINE: WABANAKI PERSPECTIVES. Beautifully created by filmmakers Jared Lank and Lokotah Sanborn (a Points North Artist Programs alum!), this film explores indigenous perspectives on healing, art, trauma, community, and recovery. The film will premiere next week at Governor Mills' 7th Annual Opioid Response Summit; after that, it will join our other films on the road for community screenings across Maine! @jaredlank @lokotahsanborn

Incredibly excited to share that I have been selected as one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film this year by @filmmakermag ! It’s an honor to be included on this list with so many other amazing filmmakers. Link in bio for the wonderful article by Vadim Rizov that talks about my film Bay of Herons and how I approach filmmaking.
