In July last year I started shooting for @iam8bit on a recurring basis and it has been a treat to work in something vidya game adjacent. Shout out to @billyshibley for making it happen! (Slide 7 got me the position). All of these are shot, styled, and retouched by me. Most concepts are by me. I certainly call in favors though thank you @scientology_420@xxgigglypufffxx@rlozanostudio@roguecheddar@srayne yāall are the realest.
Another year with things but I really just want to share some cooking (!). Life can be tedious but all the more reason to foster the joy any chance you can. Made my first tamales and some vegan salsas. Shout out to my food inspos @gabrielacamara@cenavegan@comal_la@masienda@maciels.plant.butcher . I think my first Graf Orlock show was the Hellfish Warehouse 2005? 2006? Found them because of HUKY on Myspace.
This band has been such a big part of my life and influenced me in so many ways. I learned about DIY, violent cinema (I even did a Point Break themed B-day), found Comadre (whole ānother rabbit hole), sardonic humor (every release has the most amazing packaging and liner notes please read these), and have met so many like minded sickos at their shows.
I know Iām not alone saying this but Graf Orlock was truly one of the greats. Youād be hard pressed to find a band as fun, heavy, fast, and committed to the bit as these assholes. I will miss getting drenched in sweat and punched at their shows. Farewell Gorlock 2003-2023.
