Incredible scenes at @londontranspride this weekend I spend most of my week writing about how awful anti-rights people and groups are to the Trans+ community. It was rejuvenating and empowering to see so many allies, Trans+ and the LGBTQIA+ community show up to the protest this week. Always been here, always will be. Gorgeous weekend @margatepride with lots of people I love, new friends and old ❤️ I'm biased, but I've been to a-lot-of-prides over the years: This is - by far - my fave pride event. A community organisation in a town that understands pride is protest, and plays a year round role in fighting for the Mar-gays all year round. Thanks to the team and volunteers who run it 🏳️‍🌈🥳 And thanks to @bleachers_and_co_official for rushing these stunning jeans chaps to arrive in time 🙏

Was such an honour to pick this up on behalf of the @wearequeeraf_ podcast producers and the whole @transhistoryweek team. Season five, which had a tonne of special EPs with Trans+ History Week also continued our long term work with @studentpride with a live episode and first eo of our documentary with @thelovetankcic , and @idiosyncraticxl . Huge congrats to @alex.pc.art , @lucieisle , Oran Keaveney, @ki.sces , @millsnbloom , @tincanaudio , and special guest host @kennyethanjones As I said when I picked this up, We sometimes talk about hard to reach communities in the media, but 450 Trans+ people applied for the 20 opportunities this campaign that me and @marjoda worked like crazy with an amazing volunteer team to pull together - there is so much untapped queer and Trans talent waiting to be uncovered. And at a time when so many headlines pit marginalized communities against each other, I'm incredibly proud to be recognised for a show that mentored Trans+ creatives and bought them equipment to create beautiful documentaries to highlight the milleia old history of gender diversity to shut down the pernicous lie that being Transgender is a modern 'trend'. Always been here, always will be!

🏅 Men will not be subject to sex testing TL;DR: The International Olympic Committee has announced that, from the Los Angeles games in 2028, all women will be subject to a gender verification 'sex test' that will ban trans women from all Olympic events. Men will not be subject to sex testing. It's a practice its own internal report said was scientifically flawed, discriminatory, and a cause of emotional trauma when it ended the practice 30 years ago. 🍎 A new report, using insights from 50 teachers, warns of the detrimental harm of new draft education guidance. Equalities Minister Olivia Bailey has been warned in a new report by @pridein_education that draft schools guidance is already causing confusion, concern and harm in schools. It is the latest in a series of unpublished drafts of guidance on the treatment of Trans+ kids in schools. The report also references @wearequeeraf_ reporting on LGBTQ+ youth s*icides, putting our journalism directly in front of the Equality Minister Olivia Bailey. 🏳️‍⚧️ A government report tried to warn us off reporting this | CW: Children dying by suicide A government report rebuked QueerAF for reporting on whistleblowers who said there had been a spike in suicides after the Tavistock shuttered. New numbers show our reporting was justified, and critical The data from @GoodLawProject confirms and further breakdown our reveal that one in six children who died by suicide between 2019-25 were LGBTQ+. Of these, 46 were Trans+, a number that was already higher than the Appleby report which said no surge took place following the Tavistock’s closure.
