Spent some time today working on this beat I stumbled across on @danielblonde ‘s page, but with an added B section. It’s not feeling right yet, but I like where it’s going. Just iPhone audio - don’t listen with headphones 😆

Here’s a photo from Lonelady’s final gig of 2021. A memorable night and crowd… and a great way to round off the year and celebrate the achievements and challenges in bringing the live show together over the past six months. Thanks to everyone who came, @thepiecehall for organising and to 📸 @frank_ralph_photos for capturing!

A atmospheric glimpse behind the scenes from @loneladyhq recent appearance on @jools.holland.official I’m incredibly proud to have been part of this filming at Brunswick Mill. I’ve rented a studio space here since 2015 and have always wanted to record or film something within these old bruised walls. This was a beautiful way to celebrate just that, especially as the fate of this mill is currently and precariously in the hands of property developers. It may be a matter of a couple of years before the mill is repurposed and the inhabitants (musicians, artists, local businesses) that give it life are forced out and displaced. This particular area #milesplatting has a lot of personal significance to @loneladyhq which has infiltrated and shaped her music. Thank you to everyone involved! … and an even bigger thank you to @loneladyhq for having me onboard! @brunswickmillstudios 🏛 @kendra_j_frost 🎹 🎬🎥🎬 🙌 @luxuriousthomas @commonpeoplefilms @edwardcnewell @lighteningcamera … and many more! The first leg of the @loneladyhq #formerthings tour wrapped up roughly a week ago. What a privilege to work alongside such a fiercely talented and formidable artist and musician (you too @kendra_j_frost ) and to revisit lots of familiar music venues around the UK. Safe to say we’ll be taking stock and planning for our next line of attack in January! 📸 @matus.gil

‘Deep Time’ opens this Friday at 6pm @oldbanknoma in Manchester. All welcome! I’ll be presenting a series of animations with sound of works by @linda_hemmersbach alongside her paintings and sculptures. The exhibition is a collaboration between artist @linda_hemmersbach and myself, exploring the possibilities of painting through animation, sound and site-specific installation. Inspired by a recent journey to Assynt in the Scottish Highlands, the works explore notions of geological time and movement of the earth, and ancient landscapes. Throughout the exhibition, a sense of shifting and moving of elements is implied through the use of multi-part compositional structures and arrangements. Subtle dualities within the work suggest fragmentation and continuity, fluidity and solidity, immediacy and the ungraspable evoking a psychological and atmospheric space. The exhibition continues Mon-Fri until 14th June 2019.
