Jensen Interceptor is the moniker of Australian-born, Berlin-based producer Mikey Melas, a pivotal figure in modern electro. His sound is an uncompromising hybrid of classic Detroit electro and raw acid techno, overlaid with rhythmic influences from EBM, Krautrock, and post-punk. This potent mix is forged with a singular, physical purpose: to energize and dominate dance floors. His reputation as a devastating live performer is proven by his history of tearing apart venues at renowned events like Dimensions, Tresor, and Nuits Sonores.
His influence is underscored by the wholehearted endorsements of iconic artists like Aphex Twin, Helena Hauff, and Dave Clarke. Jensen Interceptor operates as a deadeye composer for the dance floor: a seismic bass bomber and hyper-reliable floor steersman whose safe, yet uncompromising, bet is always to strike hard and strike sure
DJ I.V. has honed his skills as a music producer and audio engineer for years in multiple genres and has embraced his legacy of being rooted from Detroit and is committed to playing Techno in a Proper manner. FRIDAY AUGUST 1st - Please join us in celebrating Jaguar’s 1st full rotation around our glorious star 🌞
Featuring:
*Eddie Fowlkes*
Eddie “Flashin’” Fowlkes is a Detroit-based DJ and producer, recognized as a key figure in the development of Detroit techno music. He began his career as a DJ in the late 1970s, heavily influenced by the high school party scene and the burgeoning techno movement. Fowlkes became a member of Juan Atkins’ Deep Space DJ collective and is known for his fast mixing style and his “Techno Soul” sound, a blend of Detroit techno, 70s funk, and Motown influences.
*Sister Zo*
Now based in Brooklyn, she has made definitive creative statements in 2022, releasing her debut EP, Screw Cheek, on acclaimed UK club label, Scuffed Recordings, and a follow-up EP, Freak Shift, on Martyn’s hallowed 3024 imprint, as well as a slew of national bookings at Bunker NY, Texture Detroit, Sole Rehab, clubs like Nowadays, Good Room and Kremwerk, festivals like Slingshot and Honcho Campout and many more on the horizon. It’s clear that Zo has solidified her place as an emerging artist firmly in her own lane, with tracks that span the continuum of UK bass and North American techno and house, and mixes that seamlessly capture and defy her genres of interest, blending deep dark percussive bass and broken beat with blistering techno, psychedelic house, east coast club and more.
