Educated at Parsons School of Design & Central Saint Martins, her work bridges contemporary design with deeply rooted craft practices. Working primarily with natural dyes, her process is guided by the philosophy of ahimsa, or non-violence. Through plant-based dyes, she embraces an intuitive & slow approach, where color emerges through time, layering, & interaction with natural elements. Her practice considers each stage of making an ecological act, aiming to minimize harm across the life cycle of materials through mindful sourcing & careful processing. ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ญ๐ข ๐‰๐š๐ ๐ ๐ข @jagg_udrishti is a NYโ€“based textile artist, designer, & educator whose practice centers on sustainable material innovation & traditional craft techniques.
