Nonshred elements are cut from materials, before being bailed and shred! Some non-shred material gets reused by volunteers & shoppers, while the rest get trashed or recycled.

Thank you to our special guest speaker, Rachel from @fab_scrap , for such a wonderful presentation on what exactly goes on at the FabScrap facility and in the overall textile industry.
It was truly eye opening learning about the life cycle of the different materials dealt with at the warehouse and the different types of consumer waste that's often overlooked.
From fabric swatch headers, to Louis Vuitton test garments, to the buttons on a jacket, FabScrap sorts through all types of textile waste to help reduce the overall impact of the industry's carbon footprint.
