The Aerial Tram and Teton Village are open for summer 🙌 ✅ Sightseeing ✅ Hiking ✅ Waffles ✅ Wildlife The Aerial Tram flight is 12 minutes long, carrying you to an elevation of 10,450 feet above sea level. Sightseeing, hiking and waffles are available from the top of Rendezvous Mountain. ⚠️ Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is not open for skiing and snowboarding ⚠️ You must exit the resort into the backcountry if you wish to ski and snowboard. Always have the proper equipment, a partner and a plan when traveling in the backcountry. Ride the Tram and get 360° views of the Teton Range from the top 🏔️ #ridethetram #jhdreaming

His stories remind us of what truly matters in life: it’s not just how you spend your time, but who you spend it with 👇  Frame 1  In the winter of 1983, Tom and three buddies visited Jackson Hole on a University of Michigan Ski Club trip. Skiing The Big One bell-to-bell, his favorite memories involve taking sandwiches from the old Crystal Springs Lodge up the Aerial Tram to eat in the sunshine on the Rock Springs Buttress.  This image captures Tom skiing Rendezvous Bowl on his way to his favorite lunch spot. Later that afternoon, they would ski down as the mountain grew quiet, skiing with no one else around.  “Those runs were some of the best of my life. Not because of the conditions or the terrain, but for the quiet camaraderie of four guys loving the mountain and our time on it together.” — Tom Makeever  Frame 2  Tom made his first trip to Jackson Hole in 1979, accompanied by two of his best friends and his sister. This photo was taken outside of The Hostel on their way to ski one of their six back-to-back powder days.  Tom has returned to Jackson almost every season for the last 47 years. For all but three of those trips, he has stayed at The Hostel in search of the authentic Rocky Mountain ski culture and town vibes he loves.  Tom will be joining us again next season for another Jackson Hole trip with his grand prize from @bestdaybrewing , continuing his search for the next Best Day. #bestday #jhdreaming

Legend says Jackson Hole always skis well on Doug Coombs Day, and this year was no exception. April 3 delivered one of the best powder days of the season, earning the #5 spot on our Top 10 Moments of the Season.   Doug Coombs (1957-2006) was one of the forefathers of big mountain skiing and dedicated his life to the sport and culture of Jackson Hole. His influence is still felt every day on the Big One and helped establish Jackson Hole as one of the big mountain skiing capitals of the world 🏔️   Thank you, Doug.
