A milestone so nice, we celebrated it twice!
Last month, we marked reaching the top at 45 Courtland Ave with a Spring Milestone Ceremony alongside our trades and project partners.
More recently, we had the privilege of placing the signed banner from the event, filled with the signatures of those who helped bring this project to life, inside the final beam on the roof.
It’s more than just a milestone, it’s a lasting mark of collaboration, commitment, and craftsmanship that will stand in Downtown Kitchener for years to come.

To mark the highest point of construction, our crew held a tree ceremony — each person tied a ribbon🎗️ as a symbol of a safe build, the work that got us here, and what’s still ahead.
The tree gets planted on site when we’re done🌱

A few weeks ago, we had 29 reasons (and then some) to celebrate an incredible milestone — the Topping Out of Eureka at 1000 King St East 🎉🏗️
This isn’t just another building going up — it’s set to become the tallest tower in the Waterloo Region when it opens in Summer 2027. And it’s not just tall — it’s smart, too. Eureka is targeting energy performance 40% better than current building code requirements, making it a standout for sustainability and forward-thinking design 🌱⚡
Inside, the building will bring 491 purpose-built rental homes to the community, all aligned with affordability benchmarks from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. Future residents can choose from 1, 2, and even 4-bedroom layouts (yes — 4-bedroom rentals!), plus innovative live/work units designed for modern lifestyles.
And the views? Absolutely worth the climb. From the 29th floor, you can take in iconic local sights like the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium and the lush greens of Rockway Golf Course ⛳👀
The name Eureka is a nod to the site’s industrial roots, once home to Onward Manufacturing Company, where vacuum cleaners were produced — a fitting tribute to innovation, past and present.
We’re proud to see this vision come to life for our friends at @vivedevelopment , and to keep delivering complex, community-shaping projects across Ontario with a focus on quality, collaboration, and craftsmanship.

The Jackman team joined the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce (@cambridge_chamber ) for the latest session in the Manufacturing Series: Skilled Trades - Training for the Future, hosted at Conestoga College's (@ConestogaCollege ) brand-new Skilled Trades Campus in Cambridge. 🏗️
Touring the facility in person really brought it to life. 🔧 The campus is fitted out with professional-grade equipment, pipe threading machines, full plumbing labs, mechanical systems setups etc, exactly the kind of hands-on environment that prepares students for the job site from day one.
It's genuinely exciting to see this level of investment in trades education. The industry needs skilled people, and programs like this are building that pipeline.
Big thanks to the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce team (@cambridge_chamber ) for bringing industry and education together, this is exactly the kind of conversation that moves things forward.
