This 4 and a half hour mix has soundtracked many extended moments in my life, so many unbelievable tracks served by two maestros of the Chilean flavour.
You won’t find a better collection of minimal, house and techno, including releases from the two artists themselves and a large collection of favourites that will forever remain revered.

The ‘Get Lost’ mix series on @crosstownrebels showcased some of the artists most closely associated with the label. @jamiejonesmusic delivered Get Lost 02 back in 2007, right as deep tech house began to edge out over minimal…chunkier, slower, sexier, but still carrying a subtle darkness.
He captured this emerging sound perfectly, a defining moment in his journey which would only three years later see the launch of his own @hot_creations - a platform that would go on to define an era. While that sound would eventually take a different path, his contribution to the ‘Get Lost’ series remains timeless: spacious selections, irresistible groove and classy deep house throughout.

Today’s advent comes from the days of @spaceibiza . I hadn’t been yet, but I was an avid @mixmag subscriber and this was one of the issues that landed through my letterbox. There were some incredible Mixmag cover CDs around then, and @jorisvoorn - We Love The Sound Of Sundays @ Space Ibiza was a firm favourite. He was the new resident at “We Love…”, Space in 2010 and this was a celebration ⭐️
Packed with Voorn’s own productions at the height of the bouncy tech house era, the mix featured several exclusive Mixmag edits, with plenty of material from his own Rejected label. Fun, energetic and full of character, it offered a real taste of the frivolity inside the walls of Space. And there’s something about that edit of ‘Spank The Maid’ that I just couldn’t take off repeat. I really miss those days of waiting to see who’d be on the next Mixmag 💿

Next up is a mix I have listened to many times. A rare opportunity to hear a live recording from @magikluciano in an intimate, relaxed setting. Latin micro-house meets lounging bar grooves. Recorded at the late Beta Lounge in Hamburg, known for its afternoon-into-evening sessions, this was the perfect space for the @cadenza_music label head to explore deeper, more tempered beats from his back catalogue of records, designed for listening and introspection rather than peak-time dancefloors 🎶
It’s a real treat to hear this side of his sound, mixed thoughtfully and expertly. Deep and clicky, with long, juicy grooves and intricate melodies - put your feet up and pay attention to every beat. I don’t think there’s another Luciano mix quite like it…with only 500 plays on SoundCloud there’s still many to discover it 💫
