It’s definitely time for me to introduce myself on here with a few new followers and to also keep you all up to date with the brand and our direction for the next year! So hi, I’m Jack 👋 an analogue film wedding photographer based in Colchester, Essex but travelling across the sunny (ha) UK to capture your beautiful memories.
I’ve been doing this a while but I really am passionate about the tactile vintage feel you get from film, I absolutely love shooting on the stuff and I include a roll of it as standard in all of my packages!
I am of course a dad, a husband and a photographer and I hope I can bring a good dose of passion, excitement and love with all of these things. So it’s the quiet period at the moment before the fun begins! I’ve got some fantastic weddings lined up so far for 2026 and 2027 but I am always wanting to capture more special moments for my clients.

Another post about those little details! One thing I always remember from my wedding is, you don’t see these little things on your wedding day, or at least you don’t get enough to take them all in and truly remember them!
I always try to capture the details in a way that is interesting and reminds you of the day and their meaning - these details can be so important, so why shouldn’t the photos elevate them to their natural status!

So it’s coming to an end for cherry blossom season but it’s been so beautiful this year. I love the colours and the feeling it brings to places (including our own garden!)
As has been tradition now for a few weeks I’m doing this little roundup of the week again and I also wanted to share another picture from @tate Modern because it was developed this week (that counts right? 😂) and of course St Paul’s was looking beautiful too!
I also included a little picture of Ipswich because it really is a great place full of history and our FIRST WEDDING OF THE YEAR!! Is there this week!!

A few more (non wedding) frames from us over the last couple of weeks! We’ve been enjoying the sunny weather and exploring around London primarily. We went to see the @londonmithraeum and the Roman Amphitheatre @guildhallartlondon then of course a little bit of travelling featuring my own private carriage on the Waterloo and city line @transportforlondon
We did a great amount of exploring (and eating) and we had some amazing Japanese food @g.nekocolchester as always and they are so great with our rather loud baby 😅 and we also had a nice refreshing pint @themarquiscolchester which has a fantastic sun trap at the back!
Finally, I’ve started preparing for my first few weddings of the year so I did an order of some black and white films from @foma.bohemia@ilfordphoto@kodak from the brilliant @analoguewonderland and of course stocked up on chemicals from @bellini_foto@nikandtrickphotoservices !! Plus I picked up a little bit of film from @lce_colchester (so lucky to have these guys on my doorstep!!!)

A little photo trip to Ipswich this week - such beautiful historic architecture, beautiful weather and oh some really lovely doors… 😍
I often take trips out just to see what would look nice photographed, work out different styles and approaches and see what sort of thing I think could work for weddings - and when you have such a helpful model @butterfly_robyn it makes it very fun!
