Last December we were able to invite one of our favorite winemakers to co-host a tasting with our founder @j_a_a
We had the pleasure to have @guillaume_selosse and his better half @caroline_selosse at Planque for a 5 hour lunch, showcasing some of the most amazing wines from the domaine.
We tasted 2004 in magnum, a whole case of Lieux Dits, 3 disgorgments of Substance, L’Autre Même and… the yet to be released Coteaux « Finage » red and white.
A once in a lifetime lunch where many of our regulars got to mingle with Guillaume and Caroline, while eating Seb’s delicious food.
Thank you to everyone involved, what a way to wrap up our 2025 tastings program. We have a lot more coming up, check out Monograph Series via the link in bio.
So incredibly humbled by this, I truly have no words, but here is an attempt at gathering my thoughts.
I guess it shows you can be rewarded by trusting talented people to do what they do best. I’m so proud of Seb and so happy he got the freedom he always deserved under the Planque roof.
Thank you Turku for introducing us. Thank you Bianca for all the hard work. Thank you James for putting up with Seb and I. Thank you to all the members of staff, guests and everyone who set foot in the space for over 4 years.
I dreamt this place, and to know that it’s making people happy is the best feeling.
We hiked into the green — no map, no rush.
Just mud on boots, leaves brushing shoulders, the world quieting around us.
At the edge of the water, we stopped.
Blankets down. Bottles out.
Wine, yes — but more like time, bottled. Memory. Meaning.
One bottle was for Jaka — who not only connected us, but also guided the path that day.
Food, simple and real — and so delicious, from the magic garden of Stella.
We laughed until it echoed. Spoke of big things, soft things.
Listened to each other. Let the silence speak too.
Sometimes all it takes is nature, a few friends, and the right bottles.
That day — we found it all.
When friends get together and open a restaurant, it’s often great. This is much more than that.
Loved the space, every bite and truly can’t wait to be back. A wonderful addition to the Berlin scene.
You guys are destined for greatness.

Dear Justin,
I remember the day we met, in September 2018, in Paris. A day of eating and drinking with common friends that ended at Le Baratin, one of your favorite places in the world. It was love at first sight for me. Pure bromance. I just knew I wanted to be friends with you. We shared so many moments since, around food and wine of course, but really it was just pure friendship.
I got to meet Felix and Stacey, you all came over to my place in Paris for dinner, and I remember our boys getting along really well. We spent a lot of time together in New York, Paris and the Loire of course, which you loved and where so many people loved you too. I was looking up to you so much in my journey as a restaurateur, you were an inspiration and a mentor to me, and will remain that forever.
We got to spend quite a bit of time together in the past 12 months, with our trip to Montreal which was so incredibly fun. We were meant to do Barcelona next where you had never been. And then this February, we hang out a lot in Angers and Paris around the fairs, more than ever. I was so happy I could spend all this time with you.
My thoughts are with Felix and Stacey, I can’t even begin to fathom how they feel. I’ll be there for them it they need me, you can be sure of that. I also think of the team at the Horsemen. Your kind soul and soft energy day in day out must have been such a gift to them, I can’t believe they won’t get to have you around anymore.
I love you my friend. Always have, always will.
Jon
