Please join us for this Prairieland Defendants Solidarity Session on Saturday April 4th from 5-7pm at Ani's Day & Night. There is a lot at stake with the Prairieland defendants and many folks and activists on the ground are still not familiar with their cases, so make sure to spread the word to your communities! This event is also a great chance for south- and east-side neighbor defenders to strengthen our bonds and stoke our rage as we continue our struggle against 🧊. Solidarity until liberation! I carry the whole world on my head,
and all its worries in my heart.
I experience every emotion at once:
Grief for a martyr, longing for the absent or missing, fear for a prisoner, pain for the wounded, displacement and instability, and endless weariness.
I hear news of a prisoner's execution, and I see the faces of my father, my brother, and my son.
I wonder: How can a heart bear all this?
I say, "Praise be to God," and I move on... I suppress my pain and wear a mask of joy for the sake of children who don't know their mother is breaking down.
I force myself to smile so that war doesn't steal their childhood too.
My mission is to protect them in my heart, even if my body is without a homeland.
But I'm tired. So tired. I want to scream and cry at the top of my lungs. I want to sleep without nightmares. I want dignity, stability, and security like any other human being. I want a peace that will restore what the war has taken from us... At the very least, you can ease my suffering by supporting my family so they can have a decent life.

Jay is no longer going to court in January
Has been postponed due to an older case in the court taking priority. But after that case there are no older cases.. so May 18th SHOULD be the start of trial
