Our next stop is the Grand Canyon State, ARIZONA. There are a lot of fantastic tap dancers in Arizona, and 100 percent of them are just wonderful people all around.
Izzi Schneider (@izzitaps ) is one of them. Izzi is a semi-professional tap dancer originally from Wisconsin, but has since relocated to to the desert of Arizona. Izzi earned her BA in Dance from the @uwstevenspoint in 2023 where she choreographed and taught locally. She now teaches and performs in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area with @tapzen247 , @dxxtap , and most recently @classicalfusiondancecompany . She is and has always been grateful for the Arizona tap dance community for embracing her with open arms!
It was easy for the Arizona tap dance community to embrace Izzi with open arms, because she herself embraces the community and the people within it with open arms. She’s one of the warmest, most cordial people I’ve ever had the privilege of interacting with, and it’s a shame I don’t live in Arizona because I think would enjoy learning from and jamming with her. 💜
In this Throwback Thursday clip from this past November, Izzi (literally) let her hair down and shuffled out some improvisation. It’s very rare that Izzi lets her half-brown, half-platinum blonde hair down when tap dancing, but she decided that a change of pace was warranted. 💜

She now teaches and performs in the Phoenix area with Tap 24.7, DXX Tap, and most recently ClassicalFusion Dance. She is grateful for the Arizona tap dance community for embracing her with open arms and can’t wait to share this beautiful show!
THROWBACK THURSDAY!
This was the first year I ever took a real tap class, and the very first solo I’d ever performed (in split-sole shoes😭)! I think I was 12 here. It’s nice to be able to look back and see my physical improvement, but also to see the little girl I used to be. She would have been blown away by my tap dancing now, but more importantly she would think current me is so brave and strong and smart and kind and resilient, and that’s what I’m most proud of.
Should I re-learn this? 😉
