Cross My Heart.
Taking some time to take some time now that the years feel like they're flying by.
Been quietly nesting at home and trying to wrangle some order back into the chaos that is life between walls.
Showed the kid a white hair from my head the other day and she somberly informed me that meant I was now a grandma so I have a feeling hitting 35 might be an emotional one next month. 🤨
Homesick.
I am a cutting taken from my home, propagated in foreign soil. My roots they've grown, entwined with new life, and yet they yearn for the taste of the earth where the seeds and aged blossoms of my family still fall.
Had a heck of a good time with the art family painting this mural jam over my birthday weekend. ❤️ I don't know what I pictured my life at 35 would be like, but I know this certainly is the best case scenario that I could've hoped for. As life continues to happen, everyday I become more grateful for art, grateful for family, grateful for friends, and grateful for another year around the sun.

Howdy from @lumsbbq in Junction, Texas! Over the last few days our little family traveled into the Hill Country and got to add some color to this amazing bbq joint for our friends!
We had such a great time enjoying delicious food, good conversation, and some well-needed time in nature. ❤️

A quick one from the @thebutcherscrew jam earlier this year, thank you @lacedandfound for the invite to join y'all on this beautiful day out at @lustre_pearl_east 🙏. Lots of laughs, everybody made some dope art, fought the worst stomach flu the whole time, but we got 'er done! Year of the Fire Horse came in HOT AND READY TO GO, like damn let me get my shoes on first.
If anybody wants a mural of just ruffles, I wanna paint that. 🙋
All these recent string covers got me digging this thing out again. I played all through grade school and was in orchestra and mariachi growing up. Probably over ten years since I played on it, so I'm obviously pretty rusty. Matter of fact I had to get my bow restrung the other day because the hairs got eaten through since it sat unopened in the back of my closet for so long. 🫠 Since painting is the job now, music has become the escape. A whole lotta walls I still need to share, but this was more fun for me at the moment. Unused skill #32. From one of my favorite movies, what's this song?
Three months into the year seems like a good time to start making posts again. This was the first mural of 2026 from back in January with @hailmaryatx for the new Crux South and set a rad tone for more walls with homies down the road. ✌️ Thank you Crux for the space!
A couple of months ago we had to opportunity to mob this monster of a wall on @holeymoleyatx facing downtown Austin with a crew of the best homies. I got to paint one of my best friends @kimieflores while she held down the other end of the wall. Proud of this production with @hailmaryatx , and thanks to our friends for braving the heat and sharing their talented AF hands with us! Big ups to @wadeindeed for leading the production on this one! ✌️

Halfway through a 15-hour commute out to the Phoenix area for a couple of Cane's repaints with the family and playing passenger princess for this stretch so here's some family photos from the beginning of the year! 7 years of this little family unit and this was the first year we had any kind of formal photos taken together.
While I love these perfectly edited and idyllic photos of a very curated moment, the majority of the time our lives are chaotic and messy in both good and bad ways. The truth is we struggle to maintain work-life balance, we constantly are conflicted with the realities vs expectations of parenting as working parents, and then of course, there is the general state of the world. It's hard to be present. It's hard to be patient. It's hard to be WHIMSICAL as some friends have observed.
But we persist. If we can't find joy in the small things and people around us, then we've already lost. Anyway tell your friends you love them, say that shit with your chest.

Grateful for the opportunity to paint for the first time at the Segundo Barrio Block Party by @divineartcoalition yesterday, thank you so much for the hospitality and the invite!
I wish we didn't have to be in and out and had more time to hang with everybody, but it was great to see so many familiar faces and paint alongside new and old friends on a gorgeous day out in Houston!
