Year 3 of @glblctzn ‘s Move Afrika kicks-off tomorrow with @dojacat@bkarenarw in Kigali 🇷🇼 ⭕️
Since we launched this with @kendricklamar and @pglang in 2023, Move Afrika has created over 2,500 jobs in Kigali and Lagos when @johnlegend headlined year 2. More than 90 percent of crew and production roles were filled by local talent. In Kigali, the proportion of local crew increased from 75 percent in 2023 to 90 percent in 2025, with 95 percent of audio and lighting equipment sourced locally.
Incredibly proud of this work and the example it’s setting for how music can support development efforts.
