The second edition of La Pietra will unfold from 5 to 10 September
A summer school, a temporary space of listening and making, where land, body and myth move together.
Across days shaped by shared practices, conversations, rituals, walks, sound, gestures and collective study, we will gather around the living intelligence of place.
La Pietra is a hybrid programme devoted to the relationship between human beings and landscape, a space where stories emerge through attention.
For six days we will inhabit a rhythm attuned to the territory: listening to what the earth remembers, tracing invisible lineages, opening spaces for imagination and transformation.

daydream workshop with @realityhackatmit in jan ❄️💭
under the weekend’s theme of “dream machine”, we were listening to original soundscapes, drawing, writing, and thinking about how we create spaces for imagination, attention, and dreams!!! 🛝🛝
We finally hosted our first workshop together! 🤍🤍🤍🤍
(Re)Recording explores anarchiving as a way of working with and against the archive.
Together, we asked: what is an archive, what are alternative forms of archiving, and what place do listening practices have within anarchiving?
Through Drishya’s practice of anarchiving and Bella’s approach of deep listening, we explored more intuitive ways of recording a site through sound and mark-making.
By inviting the participants to slow down and listen, we engaged with the site as something lived and felt rather than something to be neatly captured.

Interactive designer and sound artist, Bella Ciaramitaro alongside Daisy Halliwell-Woods come together to bring you Fort: Glass and Steel. A space of creation, mysticism, and daydreams.
The exhibition exists as a space to listen, ponder and reflect. Playing on our childhood desire to create other spaces and magical worlds. The soundscape by Bella Ciaramitaro exemplifies just that.
We invite you to come, relax, listen and create.

pt. 2 btsss 🌠🌠
creating this piece changed me forever!
cyanotype everyday of june and you’re a different person at the end. i will remember the 5 weeks of sun soaked, faucet rinsed, spray painted, poem etched, melody drenched intensity as a transformation of the highest regard. it tastes like an iced mocha with drishya as we’re running around right b4 the building closes and it smells like the staircase to the darkroom. it sounds like 7 minute intervals of elephant & castle waiting for the exposures in the sun, and it looks like me wearing the same long black cami dress every other day because i just needed to get to lcc and also it was so hot. it feels like hurling toward something i can’t quite predict, nervous and overwhelmed but trusting 🎆
to blend cyanotype animation, awe-centered sound/music production, poetry, and performance had many layers of intentionality, each process bringing their own ties to my themes of embodiment, disability, and enchantment. i think for the first time i reallyy understood how medium/process isn’t just a means to an end, but a co-collaborator, a portal, an exploration in creating meaning. the time & care consuming physicality of this process was integral to the work and it means so much to me. i have endless things to say about this 💿🩵
thank u endlessly to everyone who supported me in this FMP and my entire journey in MA ID💙💙 i love & miss u all
magic is real & it’s all around!!!!🔮🔮🔮🔮
