It's been almost a week since our 2026 @jflvancouver show, where yall came through to sell out another two shows at @birdhouseartspace 🫶🫶
I'm so proud to be building this community with everyone to the point we are making waves even beyond just Vancouver 💕

In Buddhism, the word Love can also be translated as Friendship. When I think of ya'll, I'm sure my feelings are exactly what all those wise nuns and monks were trying to describe 🥹
Ya'll have taught me the meaning of chosen family. The active commitment to trust each other and ourselves. To bring out the best in us, even if we have to drag it out kicking and screaming. That no matter what, I know I'll be there for you.
This is a call to love your friends as you love yourself, and to love yourself as you love your friends. With the world as it is, love seems to be the only way out ❤️

So last year I produced a audio documentary for @citranddiscorder and honestly I'm really proud of it 👉👈
It captures both the story of Laughs in Queer, but also queer open-mic comedy in the city at large, through a mix of interviews, live recording, archival footage and narration.
Its now out on all major podcast platforms (links in bio!) and Im going to be periodically posting clips on here for a while 💕
The only sad thing is this now makes me another comedian with a podcast 😩

I just spent two weeks with other Buddhist social activists from around the world, and I'm still sitting in awe of the experience 🙏
39 people from 17 countries 🌏 all of whom are beautifully navigating a difficult world while committed to serving their communities. The fact that this program was free for all participants and accessible to people working in so many different contexts resulted in the most concentrated two weeks of learning I've ever had.
From inspiring lectures and walking in Taiwan Pride, to late night tarot readings after our 7-11 runs, the program surpassed my wildest expectations 💕
I'm so grateful to the organizers at International Network of Engaged Buddhists and to all the nuns at Hong Shi Monastery where we stayed. Venerable Zhao Hwei who co-founded Hong Shi is a huge reasons why Taiwan was the first to legalize gay marriage in Asia, and I cannot describe feeling of freedom and safety they cultivated for me and the other trans participants 🏳️⚧️✨️
I could write 1000s of words about this trip, and I probably will somewhere else, but for everyone I met and especially to my friends from Myanmar, please keep shining your light wherever you are and I hope to cross paths with all of you again some day 🥹
