ISSUE is a multidisciplinary and multimedia journal, producing, editing, disseminating, and archiviving the unique knowledge developed within the school. Dans le cadre du programme LUNDIS-LIVRES, nous avons le plaisir de vous convier à une rencontre avec @vidyagastaldon qui a publié cette année BLEU EXTASE aux éditions @artetfiction La rencontre aura lieu lundi 24 novembre de 12h30 à 14h à la bibliothèque de la HEAD et sera modérée par @camille.sevez 1994, une rave. Une jeune femme se retrouve prise dans une expérience initiatique. Elle se découvre au cœur d’un océan de perceptions. À travers ce récit d’une époque où quêtes d’expériences fortes et fêtes viennent faire exploser les limites sociales et culturelles, Bleu Extase questionne les identités apprises et construites. Le texte revient sur ce moment déterminant de la fin du siècle dernier qu’on a tour à tour pensé, oublié, récupéré ou essoré par la marchandisation mais qui garde encore une incroyable survivance. → À lire en ligne sur ISSUE Le film Dragonfly Eyes (@xubingart 2018) construit une narration linéaire de type fictionnelle – une histoire d’amour classique entre deux jeunes travailleur·euses – induite par la bande-son, qui se déploie au regard d’images provenant de multiples caméras de surveillance installées en Chine. La basse résolution de ces dernières rend possible un récit dystopique : les personnages adoptent progressivement un visage « commun » par des opérations de chirurgies esthétiques, perturbant, de manière hyperbolique, la toute-puissance de la surveillance étatique. @ozuchuat @head.cinema @headgeneve #cinema #surveillance #editing

→ Listen and watch online on @issue_journal The artist @chrisevargas is the founder and self-appointed director of The Museum of Trans Hirstory & Art @m_o_t_h_a , a conceptual museum forever “under construction.” His outstanding work has inspired an ongoing research and teaching project on trans art history at the @headgeneve supervised by @mailletclo with the participation of Ruby Faure and @miss.celium and supported by the Centre Maurice Chalumeau en Sciences des Sexualités @cmcss_unige In 2023, the MOTHA co-published Trans Hirstory in 99 Objects, a compelling exploration of trans art, activism, and resistance with contributions from many scholars and artists including Riley Snorton, Vaginal Davis, Jeanne Vaccaro, and Leah DeVun. Spanning over four centuries, this volume brings together a wide-ranging selection of artworks and artifacts that highlights the under-recognized histories of trans and gender-nonconforming communities in order to reflect on historical erasure and imagine trans futures. In his talk introduced by Clovis Maillet, Chris Vargas presents his research and discusses with moderator Ruby Faure and the audience.
