The past month has been spent making a movie that explores a relationship dynamic that still seems surreal especially in this part of the world, but it is actually legitimate and doesn't deserve the bad PR it gets. And maybe this might be your cue to give this kind of love a chance, maybe 🌚
I was privileged to be a part of this project as the sound effects editor and with my oga @iimpvlse@deeapv and the amazing guys at @inkblotpresents and we made it with all the love that we had, so this is me telling you to please go and see it in the cinemas. It's showing in a cinema near you.

Sound Design & Mix for @iofilmworks
This is the second project I did for Oraimo last year, still focused on selling the Active Noise Cancellation feature of the Oraimo Spacebuds. As someone who's notorious for not posting my work, I kept this away for obvious reasons — Imposter Syndrome and Procrastination. But after so many ‘Can we make it noisier?’ moments, this is me being vulnerable by posting and allowing you to watch me grow.
P.S. No sound was recorded on set so everything you hear was added in post.

This was my entry for the Shadow Manor Hills Gameplay Trailer sound design contest by @wave_informer
This project was the first of many things for me. It was my first time participating in a sound design contest. It was my first time doing sound design for anything in the horror genre. It was my first time doing anything game audio related.
I didn't win this and in hindsight, there are a few things I could have done better to have increased my chances but the numerous lessons learned from this would definitely be implemented in future projects.

Early this year, @theotherthrone sent me a video with the audio stripped off of it to try my hands on and try my hands I did. This project is very dear to me because it pushed me to start recording my own sound effects as opposed to relying solely on library effects.
Is this the best it can be?
Absolutely not, but I probably won't post it if I have to wait till it's perfect. So here we go.
THE MYTHICAL EQUALITY OF MONEY AND HAPPINESS
I know you're probably wondering, “what is this one trying to philosophize about?”. I don't know. Maybe I'm just overthinking this thing but just hear me out.
In February 2021, I decided to invest in cryptocurrencies. As a noob in the crypto space, I did not know the best coin to buy, so I bought one that was being promoted everywhere on social media, but it sadly turned out to be a pump and dump scheme. It was quite depressing holding a bag with losses up to about 50 percent of my initial investment, but I consoled myself with one of the most popular tenets of the cryptoverse that reads, “you don't lose until you sell”. So, I held through the intense crash that lasted for about 3 months. Three long months.
Luck finally shone on me, and I made twice my initial investment in returns alone. It was nice, I guess, but I wasn't particularly as happy as I thought I would have been. In fact, I was sad because it dawned on me that money truly doesn't buy happiness. I know this is very debatable but just hear me out. I thought: “maybe the 2X gain was too small, and maybe I needed more to be happy”.
But the truth, as I soon came to realize, was that, even if I made 10X in profits, I wouldn't have been satisfied because I would always want more. We, humans, are complex beings and even as our present needs are being met, it feels like newer desires are being birthed. We always want more!
In recent times, people have tried to push “life-changing” money-making opportunities at me, but I didn't seem to be interested in any of them. Someone even asked me: “Are you saying you don't want to make money online?” I don't know, but I think the emphasis we place on money is becoming unhealthy.
What I realized was that money in itself doesn't equal happiness. It is what we do with it, and the impact we see it making that brings a sense of fulfilment which in turn, makes you happy.
