Flight Mode Tray, Obscure Objects, 2024. The solid aluminium object is made to be used as a burning tray but can also serve as a display platform for other small items. The outer surface is brushed, while the inner circular mold is hand polished, referring to the inner surface of a spoon, mirroring its surroundings in a slightly distorted way. Each tray is handcrafted and made to order in Germany. Photographed by Konstantin Walther

Meeting table by @byunveil , 2026. via unveil.fr/unveil-meeting-table “A table designed to host in our studio in Paris, developed in collaboration with Valentin Jager and Lucas Aulagnier. Made from a 12 mm thick solid aluminum plate. We often talk about “image-objects” at the studio. When Valentin and Lucas shared the idea of a symbolic bas-relief fresco hidden within the table, it immediately made sense. The fresco unfolds in four parts, exploring our relationship with creativity and the idea of unveiling. This bas-relief was fully generated using AI, then cast in solid aluminum to take physical form.” @byunveil @valentinjager_ @lucas.aulagnier

Hall, @profiler.world @pantertourron @bwbsurfacetechnology , 2026. Profiler special projects announces the upcoming launch of Hall, a limited-edition floor lamp designed by Panter & Tourron in collaboration with the BWB surface technology specialists. Crafted from aluminium and displaying a palette of colors in a vertical gradient treatment, Hall explores simplicity in design and construction while translating color craftsmanship, precision, and industrial finishing. Equipped with a dimmable LED, the lamp offers adaptable light for different settings and moods, balancing function with a sculptural presence. Its main body features an extruded aluminium pipe cut in half, flipped, and reassembled along a rigid strip-LED structure, creating a clear, legible construction that foregrounds material and surface. The project is the result of a close collaboration with the Italian lighting company From Lighting, which supported development through engineering, prototyping, and final production, in partnership with BWB surface technology for the anodization process and gradient color treatments. Hall launches during MDW at @prohelvetia_design exhibition « Shared Matter » presented alongside fellow Swiss designers and in parallel to Capsule Plaza. Executive produced by Profiler with creative direction by Sebastian Vargas, Hall brings together design research, industrial precision, and color craft in a refined limited edition. Engineered Chopsticks, @niceworkshop_ , 2026. Engineered Chopsticks reinterprets chopsticks through the lens of metal engineering. Functioning as both a design object and a practical tool, it was developed for Western users more familiar with forks, allowing chopsticks to be handled more intuitively without additional aids. Rather than consisting of two simple sticks, the piece adopts a plate-spring-like structure. Through wire cutting and precise heat treatment, carefully calibrated elasticity is integrated into the material itself. Formed as a single continuous body instead of two separate elements, it creates a natural opening and restoring force during use. The structure also defines finger placement, clarifying the grip and stabilizing movement. It is not merely a formal gesture but a deliberate design of user behavior, offering a clearer and more stable experience. via @niceworkshop_

Lamp, @sophis___ticated , 2026. For @jiyongkim_official , This lighting object interprets jiyongKim’s brand essence—Sun-Bleached fabric—and its draping qualities as a lighting object. It attempts to carry the time that sunlight has inscribed onto fabric into indoor lighting, its opposite counterpart. While the direction of light is reversed, its warmth remains. Lighting can also be understood as a medium that sculpts light. jiyongKim’s Sun-Bleached fabric is both a form created by sunlight and a surface that holds and releases light on its own. To reveal this quality, the structure of the lamp is reduced to a minimum, allowing the fabric to drape naturally. Panels fall from the four corners at the top of the lamp, forming its overall shape. Rather than a fixed geometry, the silhouette shifts subtly depending on air, humidity, and the environment in which it is used. The frame does not obstruct the light, and the shade does not impose a predetermined form. The lamp is delivered folded into a flat plane and is completed through assembly by the user. Just as fabric forms the silhouette of clothing through stitching, the lamp takes shape through construction. From the moment the box is opened to the final assembled state, jiyongKim’s Sun-Bleached fabric remains at its center. Axis, @designedbyforma , 2026. This chair was developed from an interest in the furniture seen in science-fiction films and the presence of monolithic Brutalist architecture. At a time when much furniture repeats existing ideas, the intention was to explore a different direction: a chair reduced to essential form. The design is defined by clean lines and a strong, architectural presence. Construction was approached without compromise. The structure is a solid wood frame. The seat and backrest are fully sprung to provide support and durability. Layers of foam in varying densities offer comfort while maintaining shape over time. The chair is upholstered in full-grain leather and enclosed within a brushed aluminium outer shell. These materials were selected for their strength, longevity, and clarity of finish. A concealed 360-degree swivel base allows movement while preserving the visual solidity of the form. The aim was to create a piece that resists the short lifecycle of much contemporary furniture. A chair designed to endure in both function and appearance.

Silhouette, @hoyoungjoo , 2026 It may be a wine glass. It may be a mug. It may be neither. Silhouette shifts attention away from functional classification and toward how form is perceived. From one viewpoint, the proportions and outline of a wine glass are read first. As the viewing angle changes, the image of a handled mug comes into view. While the physical form remains singular, its visual identity does not settle into one reading. This dual perception extends beyond the object itself to the shadow it casts. Form and shadow suggest different images, allowing a single object to be read in multiple ways. Rather than reinforcing a fixed functional type, Silhouette approaches design as a question of perception-how objects are seen, recognized, and named.

Unstable Equilibrium, @hans.crd , 2024. Three-piece steel lever, unbalanced by 9 grams, requiring a participant’s personal artifact, in this case, a worn, custom-made ring to achieve equilibrium. An interactive mechanism that redefines the relationship between object and user through tactile engagement. When placed, the artifact restores balance, transforming the act into a moment of spiritual and emotional grounding. Untouched, the object remains static; engaged, it becomes a vessel for memory, history, and exchange. The ring, carried daily, returns to the lever at day’s end, closing the cycle and leaving traces of interaction—fingerprints, wear, subtle shifts over time. A continuous process, deepening the dialogue between material, form, and user. Credits Product Design: In collaboration with George Teglas Cinematography: In collaboration with Buvard via jonathan-jimenez.com

Imprints of Presence , @tacomiri , 2025. Jewelry has long been regarded as an extension of the body, a means through which identity is expressed. This work explores the shifting nature of identity through the act of wearing jewelry. When worn with the jewel facing inward, it leaves a subtle mark upon the skin, a trace of its intimate encounter with the body. This trace becomes a quiet testament to transformation, evoking the subtle imprints we leave on one another. As it appears and slowly fades, it mirrors the impermanent nature of our connections over time. Images and texts via tacomiri.com
