Hi I’m Jess! 👋
And this is the place where we celebrate the “ART of IN BETWEEN”. Where human-to-art connections are at the core of what we do✨
It's been a minute, so I think it may be time to (re)introduce myself
I'm Jess Lange, Founder of Interstitial Atl, and my mission is simple:
🎨 Connect humans to original art & artists
đź’– Create new Art Collectors
🧑‍Support living artists
🖼️ Break down the systems and barriers that intimidate & ultimately prevent people from investing in art
I believe art is for everyone—whether you're an avid collector or someone just beginning to fall in love with the idea of living with art. You are welcome here!
Whether through art curation and event production, or work with the wellness community through my partnership with @holisticeventplanning I am creating new ways to experience creative expression and fine artwork. I'm working to shift the conversation and create NEW collectors!
Ready to bring art into your life in a meaningful way? Follow along for upcoming exhibits, artist stories, and art you can make your own.

There’s something deeply healing about creativity shared in community.
Last night at Shared Affirmations, we sparked joy through giggles, sparkles, color, and honest conversation. A simple act, creating and exchanging affirmations, became something much bigger. A reminder of how powerful it is to slow down, open up, and connect with one another.
This is exactly what we all need right now.
A massive thank you to Vanna Black, the artist in residence over the past three months at The Lola. She has been such a meaningful addition to the community. Through her work and workshops, she brought so much value, joy, and intention to our members, while also welcoming in new energy and new faces.
Thank you also to @naeemahjade and @thelola_women for seeing the value and healing power of the arts and for supporting our work.
Grateful for moments like this and the space to create them in partnership with Atlanta’s unique art community.
The time has come to bid farewell to the ray of light that is “Primordial Feels” by Vanna Black. Her show will come down the evening of 4/30 and we will forever remember the positive impact this work had on @thelola_women space, members, and guests.
These are some of the works still available for purchase so if you are looking for a little ray of light to brighten your space and boost your energy, reach out to @interstitial_art in DMs for pricing.
All sales directly support the Vanna, The Lola, and help fund future Interstitial Atl partnerships.
We also have a few tickets available for Vanna’s workshop tomorrow night at the Lola. Check out the link in bio to snag a ticket for $20
Let’s get together and make some art 🖼️
Shared Affirmations is a collaborative art experience led by Atlanta Artist Vanna Black on 4/29 6-8pm at The Lola
Join us for this shared art experience rooted in care, reflection, and connection.
This gathering invites you to move beyond yourself and into the act of giving. Each attendee will write a set of affirmations, words you’ve needed, words you carry, and offer them anonymously to the group.
From there, you’ll receive a new set of affirmations written by others and use them to guide you in adorning your own wooden heart box, transforming shared words into something tangible to take with you.
A simple but intentional practice showing us what we give has a way of finding its way back to us.
$20 per person to reserve your spot! Link in bio or cut and paste https://square.link/u/PUCqCpIo

We’re so excited to welcome @therealvannablack as our new resident artist at The Lola with @interstitial_art
Her opening reception was everything we love about this space. Art, intention, conversation, and a room full of people who truly value creativity and community.
There’s something powerful about watching a woman expand while knowing she’s supported while she does it.
Vanna, we’re honored to have you.
If you haven’t experienced one of our artist receptions yet, this is your sign to join us, she will be have further
Sending a heartfelt thank you this morning to Jessica Lange and all the wonderful women at The LOLA Atlanta for hosting “Soft Conjuring” in their beautiful workspace for the past 4 months.
Sharon Shapiro’s painting (based on a photograph captured by Jody Fausett and featuring artist Shana Robbins) needed more time in Atlanta after being shown at the @thepollinatorartspace this Spring, but now it’s on its way West to San Francisco!
If you are a woman looking for an amazing community co-working space in ATL, please look into a membership at The LOLA. Members enjoy 5,000 square feet of shared workspace, private conference rooms (like the one pictured), a screening and theatre area, a six station beauty room, a private mother’s room and podcast studio - as well as consistent, women-centered programming!
So dreamy. đź’›

I took some time from my crazy summer schedule to focus on some new artwork. I installed these pieces from Annalise Nelson ( @smoking_teapot ) today at @thelola_women as part of a larger curation of female artists work in the space.
Stay tuned for more on what Interstitial is building at The LOLA in partnership with some incredible female artists.
And none of this would be possible without the collaboration and connections of some magical women in the arts. Shout out to art mavens @aliciafeldercreativeservices and @ldthrower for facilitating the loans of some truly inspiring pieces.
Want to know more about what we do at Interstitial?
Let’s chat about how we can thoughtfully curate your space with rotating exhibits of meaningful work by living artists.
PS: All work shown at The LOLA is for sale. Please DM with any interest and to see these pieces in person.

God it feels good to hang some art again!! 🙌
Today I installed the first of many art pieces that will be rotating at @thelola_women as we start to build up to the launch of #theartimmersionproject (more to come on that!)
Meet “Soft Conjuring” on loan from brilliant artist @sharonshapiro , facilitated by Lisa Thrower of @subtle_arts_cc
Art is meant to be experienced, and now LOLAs and their guests have the opportunity to live with and build a relationship with this work over time, to “immerse” themselves in it.
We are installing more next week and I can’t wait to show you so STAY TUNED!
If you are interested in learning more about The Art Immersion Project shoot me a DM - we are on the lookout for sponsors to help bring the vision to life
Artist’s Context:
“I was drawn to this photo taken by friend and collaborator Jody Fausett because of its psychological charge—the defiance on the younger woman’s face contrasted with the passive displeasure of the older figure. To heighten the drama framed between the bedposts, I used color as a decisive tool: regal purple, melancholy blue, and energetic feminine pink all set against a drab background. The quiet discomfort is evident—not just in the younger woman’s expression, but in the lack of pillows on the bed, the drawn curtains, and the stiff collars that feel stifling in this context. This is an image of a girl trying to wear the facade of her elders’ expectations, but not quite pulling it off.”
🌟 **Reflecting on the 2024 season of Art & Wellness** 🌟
As we wrap up an incredible season, let’s share some highlights from our journey 💖
This year we invited you in to experience the spirit of creative wellness. We hosted dynamic sessions in some amazing art spaces that included kundalini yoga, sound baths, percussive meditation, mark making, cyanotype and pound (just to name a few); exploring a broad spectrum of modalities in wellness and creativity. We closed out the year with a powerful collaborative art exhibit highlighting the “liminal threads”connecting us all. Throughout the year we enjoyed partnering with local food and beverage brands like Xocolatl, Herbs and Kettles, GOAP, Sweet Ginger Brown, and Golda Kombucha.
We are overflowing with gratitude and love for each and every one of you who supported our mission. A huge thank you to @lululemon for powering this project and helping us bring it to life! 🙏
As we take a moment to reflect, we are also pausing to refine what The Art & Wellness Project will look like in 2025 🙏 We will take a break from programming after our final two Tuesday Recess classes in January
Here’s to the journeys we’ve shared and the exciting paths ahead! 🎨✨
Important NOTE: There are still 2 Tuesday Recess sessions left (1/21 & 1/28) before we take a much-needed break, so let’s make them memorable! Tickets can be purchased from our linktree

As 2024 comes to an end so does LIMINAL THREADS ✨
Although the public-facing show has officially closed, we are hosting private tours and friends and family in the gallery on Thursday the 2nd.
If you’ve been too busy to get over to see this unique work and still want to come by before we deinstall, please reach out to me or any of the three artists to schedule some time to come in and soak it up while you can. This show reflects an ephemeral moment in time and these works will never be shown together exactly like this again.

Sometimes, when opportunity knocks, you just have to just open the darn door. When @holisticeventplanning and I learned we could take over the space we’d been hosting events in for the past four months, we knew the timing couldn’t be worse—hello, December madness—but we had to go for it.
Enter three powerhouse female artists: @smoking_teapot , @stillleekingshirtz , and @studio.snipes.art . A few Zooms later, we were deep in brainstorming mode, crafting what would become something truly special.
We didn’t just create a group show; we built a collaboration. The result? LIMINAL THREADS, a concept that celebrates the connective tissue between the artists’ processes and work. The gallery itself, perched right on the @atlantabeltline , perfectly embodies the spirit of convergence and connectivity.
Bringing this vision to life alongside these incredible women has been an absolute dream. So here’s my advice: when you get a chance to chase your passion—even if the timing feels impossible—lean in hard. Trust me, it’s worth it.
So it you are in the area and want to support living local artists, come take a look. We purposely curated works in a range of pricepoints and mediums.
Sunday 12/29 we will host an artist panel from 2-4pm. We would love to see you and chat about the work and the wild ride of producing the show. Link in bio to learn more about the show and to RSVP to the artist panel
