In honor of Black History Month, we partnered with our client
@universalmusicgroup to create a fresh extension of its Sounds of the Future campaign in collaboration with
@bma_coalition - once again celebrating Black creativity through a series of meaningful activations that honor and safeguard the legacy and future of Black music.
As part of this campaign, in partnership with
@defjam , UMG hosted a “Love Black Music” fan experience at the UMusic Shop in New York City featuring hip-hop icons and the co-hosts of the
@joeandjada podcast, Fat Joe and Jadakiss. The conversation, moderated by BMAC founder
@prophet5050 , celebrated Black history by reflecting on the influence Black music has had on their collective careers and its transformative impact on culture at large.
We transformed the vinyl wall at
@umusicshopny into a living archive of Black music creating an installation honoring the legacy and continued impact of Black artists across genres and generations. UMG also launched the “Love Black Music Tee” in collaboration with LA-based brand
@supervsn in support of the Black Music Action Coalition, helping advance equity, access, and opportunity across the music industry. Shop the tee exclusively at the Umusic shop now!
