LA forever <3 We’re honored to work with our client @summaeverythang and Summaeverythang Community Center to support sister dreamer, Lauren Halsey’s new sculpture park opening in South Central next weekend! Envisioned as an open-air classroom, the park extends Lauren’s practice into a shared landscape for learning, gathering, and cultural change - one where art functions as both inspiration and infrastructure for community. If you’re in LA next Saturday, stop by the opening and stay tuned for updates on public programming at the space led by Summaeverythang Community Center!

In honor of Black History Month, we partnered with our client @universalmusicgroup to create a fresh extension of its Sounds of the Future campaign in collaboration with @bma_coalition - once again celebrating Black creativity through a series of meaningful activations that honor and safeguard the legacy and future of Black music. As part of this campaign, in partnership with @defjam , UMG hosted a “Love Black Music” fan experience at the UMusic Shop in New York City featuring hip-hop icons and the co-hosts of the @joeandjada podcast, Fat Joe and Jadakiss. The conversation, moderated by BMAC founder @prophet5050 , celebrated Black history by reflecting on the influence Black music has had on their collective careers and its transformative impact on culture at large. We transformed the vinyl wall at @umusicshopny into a living archive of Black music creating an installation honoring the legacy and continued impact of Black artists across genres and generations. UMG also launched the “Love Black Music Tee” in collaboration with LA-based brand @supervsn in support of the Black Music Action Coalition, helping advance equity, access, and opportunity across the music industry. Shop the tee exclusively at the Umusic shop now! 📸: @tobytenenbaum

These are things that have been giving me hope lately. Books that break down what’s happening. Small acts of care. Courage. Imagination. People who are choosing to build anyway. Hope, as I’ve inherited it, is inextricably linked to action. It’s comfort. It’s commitment. It’s how I resist apathy, refuse normalization, and keep choosing to build without surrendering my humanity in a moment designed to exhaust us.

This #GivingTuesday we at Inside Projects want to take a moment to amplify some of the organizations within our ecosystem that are creating meaningful, long-term impact in their communities every day of the year.

Over the past few weeks, we partnered with our client @highergroundmedia to produce two live shows in New York City hosted by actress and founder Tracee Ellis Ross, and another in Washington, D.C. hosted by Wesley Morris, for IMO: The Look, a companion series to Michelle Obama’s new book The Look. In each conversation, Mrs. Obama spoke to an audience of authors, tastemakers and community leaders on how she and her team used fashion and style as a vehicle to transform public scrutiny into a celebration of self-expression, inclusion, and meaningful impact. These conversations not only provided a platform to reflect on the making of the book but also became a space where Mrs. Obama addressed topics of gender, beauty and politics, offering a perspective that continues to influence culture and resonate with people around the world. 📸 @dezhester
