70,000 voices thundered across Rolling Loud as the Black Music Action Coalition took to the main stage with a message far bigger than music.
Behind us on the scenes were the images of Bloody Sunday, John Lewis, and Harry Belafonte — reminders of the sacrifices made to secure justice and freedom.
In front of us stood the next generation of leaders.
We spoke about the criminalization of Hip Hop.
The protection of Black art.
The defense of voting rights.
And our collective refusal to allow culture to be used as a weapon against our communities.
Then 70,000 young people roared in unison:
“F*** racism‼️”
This was more than a concert moment.
It was a declaration.
A reminder that culture is power.
And when that power is organized, it becomes a movement no force can silence. @freeourarthq

Right before we hit the RollingLoud main stage…I thank @tariqcherif and the whole @rollingloud team for allowing Black Music Action Coalition to show up this way. We must educate and motivate this generation to be the change agents and cultural leaders that the world needs! #BMAC #RollingLoudOrlando. Also salute to @zaria.brielle who participated in the BMAC x Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Guaranteed Income and Mentorship Program. And now continuing to work with the organization!
MARYLAND JUST MADE HISTORY.
Today, Gov. Wes Moore signed the PACE Act into law, creating some of the strongest protections for artistic freedom in the country. For too long, creative expression in hip-hop, has been used against artists in courtrooms.
We’re proud to stand alongside the advocates, lawmakers, and artists who helped make this moment possible.
Art is not evidence. We still have more work to do!!!

Let’s be clear: lyrics are storytelling—not confessions.
For years, rap music has been singled out and distorted in courtrooms to secure convictions—disproportionately impacting Black artists and communities.
Maryland just took a critical step forward. The Protecting Artists’ Creative Expression (PACE) Act is now headed to Governor Wes Moore for signature. But this fight is bigger than one state.
Thank you to Maryland Delegate Marlon Amprey for your persistence and leadership in making this moment possible.
We need laws that protect creativity—not criminalize it.
