SIMCon 2024 A parody of early 2000’s comic culture, SIMCon was created to host an accessible and free event to invite the, adolescent, Boston public and uplift the artist’s of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, more specifically, the Studio for Interrelated Media. The convention was held inside the North building of the MassArt and included 3 main activities; an artist alley, panels, and a rave. Guest of Honor, Shelli Paroline, hosted 1 of 8 panels and gave insight into both her time working on the Adventure Time comics series and producing Mass MICE. SimCon was so near and dear to my heart!! It was my own personal brainchild created from my love of attending conventions as a young highschooler - present me! Thank you to everyone who helped me pull this off I truly never thought I’d ever be able to run a convention in my lifetime 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 📸: @elodiesmiles

The Wedding Party | 2024 Presented in the Big A.S.S. Gala of SP24 in the Pozen Center of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, The Wedding Party was a collaboration between Andrew Vincent, Anadia Osorio, and Ev page. It is meant to question the ethics of gendered clothing, ownership, and tradition. Thank you Anadia and Ev for being so patient with me and making my projection mapped wedding dress dreams come true 🩵🩻💍 📸: @bentoniorynesoja @riverheck

Liminalis 2024 🧩 The Liminalis puzzle room was a 2-week-long puzzle room held in the black boxes at the Massachusetts of Art and Design from February 20th to March 1st. The Eventworks team created an immersive, thrilling experience for students at MassArt to participate in. Participants signed up for a time slot through our website, curated to resemble a real company’s website to add to the immersive experience ahead. During these time slots, our team was able to monitor the participants as they found codes, unlocked clues, and explored the space. Participants had just 45 minutes to explore the liminal office-themed space, uncover clues, and get the final prize which was printed ties and pens with the Liminalis logo. Regardless of whether attendees were able to complete the room or not, They were given a prize. I never imagined I would ever get to help design and build an escape room but this turned out to be my favorite project when I was apart of @eventworkssim ! Will forever miss being your janitor puzzle master 🧩🧹 📸: @harmonycityunlimited @robinsielicki @muhlaynah

The Rebirthday Party 2023 Each fall, the Studio for the Interrelated Media produces the SIM BIG Show, a night of performances, installations, interactive art, along with 2D and 3D artwork. The show is performed, created, and curated entirely by the students in SIM.After BIG Show’s untimely death in FA22 (The End of BIG Show), students found it necessary to celebrate the creation of life in the form of The ReBirthday Party. Presented on Novemember 16th, 2023, The ReBirthday Party was a night to celebrate all performers, technicians, and audiences together. Lead video tech & projection by me 📸: @bentoniorynesoja

Putrefaction 2023 ‘Putrefaction goth night was a dance event meant to curate a safe environment for people to enjoy goth culture in the Boston area. It included live DJing, video projection, set and lighting design, and wall art to create a spooky environment meant to emulate a crossover between an 80’s American goth club and an alternative art gallery.’ My first real VJ gig and first event in @eventworkssim !! 🥀 📸: @muhlaynah

With this lineup, we’re in for an extra lush & magical night at Steep’d this Saturday 12/6 😍 @victoriaaninewaples is an artist from upstate New York making ethereal pop music. Her music relies heavily on vocal layering, chimes, strings, and sounds from the deep sea. For her set at Steepd, Victoria will be crafting ethereal soundscapes through loops and layers to take us on an atmospheric journey between meditation, prayerfulness, and uplifting gratitude! @dougbielmeier returns to his roots in immersive drone and ambient music for Steep’d, with a live set on lap steel guitar and Ableton Push. Drawing from the meditative sound worlds of ‘Betty and the Sensory World’ and ‘Ambient Works’, his performance will unfold through sustained tones, granular textures, and subtle harmonic shifts—inviting listeners into a spacious, suspended sonic environment. Raised between Rome’s after-hours basements and London’s pirate-static rooftops, tyfu (@kriscmon ) is the crate-digging now Cambridge-bound after three years mapping Cape Town’s sub-bass rituals and San Francisco tea-house matinées. For his take on an ambient set, he’ll be blending patches, field recordings, and melodic tracks this weekend at Steep’d! @inordinatelayers (Andrew Vincent) is a video projection artist based in Boston, MA. He is most interested in the layering of videos to create abstract visuals curated around each artist he collaborates with. He has sampled hundreds of microbial specimens to create his catalogue of visual, best seen in his Microbes (2022-2025) series, which will be featured in his nature-infused vj set at Steep’d! And to top it all off, we’ve got complementary tea service from @virgos.room (with 3 new blends!) and tarot from @mercurial.mystic ✨ You know where to find the tickets !

Why did you buy a House? 2022 Why did you buy a house is about the dynamics of suburban America and it’s affect on Public Housing. As you use the remote, you glitch between imagery of suburban living and Demolition of Public housing. - - My first official gallery installation! I am very happy with how it came out. Thank you to @newalliancegallery for having me! #videoart #installation #dirtyvideomixer #videoinstallationart #videoinstallation

Untitled sound and Light performance Made to experiment with my relationship to sound and light, I am in a suit of aluminum foil to exemplify the light hitting me and the movements I make whilst on stage. The movements are amplified by contact mics embedded in the suit. 📸 @mellyallison #liveperformance #performanceart #experimental #experimentalart #experimentalperformance #soundperformance #lightingdesign #blamesim

Microbes 🦠 2023 Microbes was made using 84 clips of microscope footage taken at the Haystack Mountain School and is edited to Oliver Buckland’s Oceanid. It was made for The END of Big Show of fall 2023. This was my first major video art piece and I adored making it. It’s really opened me up to a new art form! 📸 @nickortoleva #videoart #videoartist #projection #projectionart #projectionmapping
