Hello amazing people of Innsbruck and region, I am about to announce something exciting... 🔥 FIRE DRUMS 🪘 is about to be born in Innsbruck, as a weekly event on Wednesday evenings, hosted outdoor by a great campfire at Pembau!
what is it?: We will be creating energetic rhythms together using whatever means possible, but mostly using West-African Djembe drums. The session will start with a guided session suited for both beginners and advanced players, especially providing a solid basis to those new to creating percussive rhythm, and challenging advanced players to find true stability in minimalism. After, we go free.
At the same time, I invite dancers and anyone that likes to move and flow to the vibrant rhythms ... and to match the firey energy of the drums, it would be amazing to see fire players joining the jam!
when is it?: Wednesdays at 18.30 we start with the guided session, slowly increasing the energy... Around 8 o'clock we will be playing freely for as long as the energy stays!
who is it for?: Anyone! All are welcome to experience and learn together. Maybe you don't feel like touching a drum at first, then still you are welcome to join the energy and simply meditate or dance.
do I pay something?: No! This event is completely free! Donations are welcome of course so I can find more drums to use for the sessions ;)
how do I get there?: Bus J takes you straight to the doorstep of Pembau at the stop Gluirschegg, just 10 minutes from Museumstraße!
what else?: We will be communicating through a WhatsApp group for announcements, perhaps moving the session by a day to avoid a rainy session. Also, spontaneous weekend sessions!

Last note: If you have a drum you can bring, do so!! We will be growing slowly, and there are some great drums already available, but the supply is not infinite. If you want to reserve a drum to use on a session, message me on WhatsApp and we will arrange you a drum on a first-come-first-serve basis.

So many friends suggested this combo and i never really tried because of the shitty grip on the Comet and the absurd heavy weight. Apparantly thats just a mindset problem so here is the first burn of contact staff plus Comet.
