I've been making videos for about 5 years now. Started during uni, got my first little jobs along the way, worked in a film production and since the beginning of the year I'm full time self employed🤘😀 Here's a recap of the last few year. Enjoy

In my bachelor's thesis, I focused on learning more about visual storytelling. "Skyggelys" is one of two projects that I created in this framework. Rather than following a traditional narrative structure, this piece focuses on creating an immersive visual experience. Drawing inspiration from Bruce Block’s The Visual Story, I worked with visual components such as space, line, shape, and rhythm to build progression and atmosphere throughout the film. I got to film a World Record from @maverick2go as part of a @seashepherd campaign. You can check out the full documentary on Vito’s and Sea Shepherd’s YouTube channel. Very happy to be working for an organisation I really want to support. Honestly, it was a tough one: difficult location, tricky communication, and a sport that is super impressive but visually quite boring. Apart from filming the actual event, I conducted the interview and had more or less one hour to shoot B-roll with Vito. I tried my best, and luckily I was able to use some amazing footage from Vito’s old movies and Sea Shepherd, so in the end it turned out nicely. Some more BTS from Ignis. Shooting fire is always a challenge. It looks stunning in complete darkness, but without any visible surroundings, the visuals can feel a bit flat. Finding that sweet spot between using just enough daylight or carefully placed external lighting makes all the difference. You can watch the final piece in my last Reel or on YouTube. On our first shooting day, it was just Vale and me. After four hours of sleep in my car, I woke up a bit before sunrise. Vale arrived without any sleep at all. Pretty stressed, we tried to get all the shots done before the morning light disappeared. By 11 o’clock, we were completely exhausted and checked the weather forecast: rain all week. It was a rough start, but somehow everything fell into place. With helping hands and a great crew, it turned into some really good shoots. You can watch IGNIS in my last Post or on YT. One of my ideas in the pre-production of Skyggelys was to limit myself to a 9 and a 50mm prime lens (and the drone). The contrast between these two lenses was meant to stylise the piece and give it a unique look. Although this definitely contributed to the style of Skyggelys, it didn't work out as I expected. The structure I ended up going for didn't allow for the play between the two lenses and the different focal legthes of the drone interferied aswell. Perhaps the contrast between the lenses should have been greater. It was a try and shooting with primes is always a good Challenge! BTS, stills and everything I stumbled upon from our time in Norway. I shot everything on my Fuji using a black and white film recipe, as I wanted to go for a film noir look from the start. And I love how it turned out. But I couldn't set my drone to B&W. Waking up with Cerro Torre getting hit by the first sun light... @stefanosapostle , Marco and I managed to climb Aguja Saint-Exupery over "Chiaro di Luna" 5.10+ in one of those rare weather windows. Climbing in el chalten really is another world. I found it quite intense & intimidating. Very happy about this one. 2&3. Approach 4. Marco on Pitch 5. That was a very enjoyable Part of the route. 5. Stephano belaying 6. Getting ready for bed 7. First Pitch after the Ledge. There's still some granite above us. 8. Last Pitch. Should have been a 4+ but got scary with all the snow & ice. Also a bit to much rope in the system🫠 9. Starting the long way to the bottom 10. Marco desperately drinking the last few sips of water after we repelled all night and ran out of gas.
