@inkscrpt x @wnba x @maybelline x @bucketsandborders šŸ˜šŸ€ BEYOND HONOURED to be the artist to illustrate 3 large murals + backboards for the entire basketball court of Oakdale Community Centre - in collaboration with WNBA, Maybelline New York, and Buckets & Borders. 😭 More info on this incredibly meaningful project can be found on news outlets such as Global News, CBC Toronto, and SportsNet! Thank you for trusting me and so grateful to the community for welcoming us into this space. THANK YOU to everyone who has believed in me and my work; who continues to support and open up doors for me. EVERY LITTLE ACTION DOES NOT GO UNNOTICED! As someone who has always been a big advocate of grassroots initiatives, seeing the worlds of art, sport, community, advocacy, and infrastructure all in one impactful project has always been something I’ve actively sought. To be asked by WNBA & BxB to be the artist to work on a project that means so much to an historically underserved community is a privilege I don’t take lightly. Research shows that young people, especially young girls, experience better outcomes when participating in sports: from mental and physical health to learning crucial social skills and reducing likelihood of being involved in violence. Yet we see girls under 14 drop out of sport due to lack of access, safe spaces, and representation. Refurbishing a basketball court into a beautiful, functional, safe, welcoming space with designs that young girls & women can see themselves in is just ONE STEP towards addressing these needs. Every moment we show up - on the court, through artwork, through community, through taking meaningful action - is one brave step to breaking barriers for girls & women. As an artist in the sports industry, this continues to be a lifelong goal of mine: to keep creating representation and empowering diverse communities through my artwork and participating in impactful projects that elevate that platform. The work doesn’t end here!!!

THIS IS FOR YOU. I had the honour to design the inaugural away jersey for @afc.toronto (as part of Canada’s first ever women’s professional soccer league in history @northernsuperleague ). āš½ļø As both an artist and as someone who grew up playing sports, designing a jersey is the epitome of a dream project. So when I was given this privilege, I wanted to illustrate details that felt true to Toronto’s story. This away jersey is our home away from home. šŸ” To see so many people wearing it was SURREAL. Even more so the beautiful messages and people I’ve connected with who resonated with the design and what it means for Canadian sport. The looks on young girls’ and women’s faces as they wore a jersey that validated that nothing is beyond their reach in the realm of sport. THIS IS WHY WE DO IT. THIS IS FOR YOU! This wasn’t possible without the incredible team behind this campaign. Artists are used to working behind our art, so to be the front face of it was indescribable. Thank you to the entire AFC team - from operations to creative to finance to executive level - for evening the playing field by giving me a chance to ā€œrun it our wayā€ and rep our city. But ultimately, this project came to life because of YOU. If you ever engaged with or shared my work in any way- this is for you. If you ever felt inspired, joy, or pride from my art - this is for you. šŸ’Œ Thank you thank you thank you! What a privilege; what a LIFE!!! From WNBA, NBA, PWHL, and now this? 🄹 Toronto Tempo, are you next?! @torontotempo

When @niketoronto asked me to be the illustrator for Canada’s first WNBA game 😭 @wnba Some of the best work I’ve done to date 🄲 Together with @niketoronto , @wnba , & @footlockercanada , I designed 32+ illustrations celebrating the growth of the women’s game. We then created an experience where people can customize their @Nike apparel and tell their own stories by heat-pressing my designs live in-store. šŸŽØšŸ€ So grateful to have been part of a historical moment - from selling out merch with my designs to a sold out game. @nbacanada @nike @6ixbuzztv @wnbato @nikebasketball

140km. One night. 8 women. 🫶 So excited to take on this adventure from Toronto to Blue Mountain alongside this incredible group of women — each with their own story, strength, and reason for showing up. In this video, the passing of the ASICS Superblast 3 from person to person symbolizes our relay baton. A reminder that running has this beautiful way of connecting people, weaving together different journeys into one shared experience. We also feel so grateful to be supported along the way by an incredible brand like @asicscanada — a brand that believes in our story, our community, and the joy that comes from moving together. Overnight miles, little moments, lots of laughs, probably some delirium šŸ˜… — and the kind of memories that only come from doing something slightly wild with amazing people. Here’s to moving together, cheering each other on, and having so much fun along the way. ✨ —— Missing 2 of our team members in this (coordinating schedules for 8 people is hard 🄲) but we love themmm - @karina.v.lopez @amy.wayyy ā¤ļø

Honoured to have designed and hand-painted this @CFL football live on-site for their Partnership Kickoff Event! Huge thank you to the @CFL team for trusting me with my vision for its design and for such a fun opportunity. šŸˆ I think a lot of people can relate to the heartaches & headaches of ā€˜the Process’. What it means to be behind building your craft and doing the actual crafting. So I wanted to share an honest story of the complex feelings that come with doing something that you love - especially when what you love becomes work. And as this football was completely painted by hand, you can imagine how many complex feelings that come with the beauty and pains of handmade work. Do you relate to this on some level- whether you are a creative or not? šŸ“ø by: @evelynbrayphotography

All the forces were against me this race (fought a flu, sprained an ankle 5 mins before the race, lost a gel mid-way, etc) but it was my first time running the oldest race in North America (Around the Bay) so I tried to do my best & have fun with it. A 30km road race that felt harder than my full marathon lmaooo. But I somehow PB’d LOL. Who knew that something shorter could go that hard? šŸ«£šŸ‘€ @bayracerun Had to also bring back my artwork from my new series called BRING BACK RUNNING POSTERS (this one being the Around the Bay Edition). A series where I share concept posters and race kits for specific races as a way to bring back the appreciation for the creative / artistic side of running. Let me know your thoughts on the artwork and also your thoughts on running a 30km race!! It’s often ran by those training for world majors like @bostonmarathon or @londonmarathon Would you try it as well? šŸ“ø: @rich3dee legend

Hand-painted this football live on-site for @CFL ’s Partnership Kickoff Event! Huge thank you to the @cfl team for trusting me with my vision for its design and for such a fun opportunity. Here’s some BTS shots of the making of the ball. I used colour and energetic design elements to drive the design through incorporating colour and the team names from each of the nine CFL clubs. CFL’s fierce Competition, dynamic team Action, and high energy are represented through the shape elements: fluid ā€˜blobs’ (teamwork), sharp edges (ā€˜energy’), my signature line art (connection that brings the entire country together for a single sport). What do you think of the design? Let us know below and also - whose team you’re cheering for!
