👾 Artist spotlight: HONEY B A sonic explorer spans genres and textures to create memorable dance floor moments. Born and raised right outside of NYC, producer and DJ @honeybbzz has spent years honing her multi-dimensional sound in the local scene and elsewhere. She has a penchant for weaving together different sounds to create a unique tapestry - her releases traverse genres and moods, exploring everything from introspective deep house to heavy-hitting breaks and 140. As a DJ, she embraces the same fearless spirit, eschewing sonic boundaries to propel movement and spark joy and connection on the dance floor. She’s a resident of the influential queer collective @xoxanyc , showcasing her talents at some of the most respected clubs in the city like Nowadays, Le Bain, Good Room, Elsewhere, and more. 👾 Artist spotlight: Waddle A classically trained cellist pushes club sounds forward with his signature fun, fearless style. If you’ve been out in NYC recently, chances are you’ve come across @waddle_yongga . Versatility is his strength and his inspiration, with mixes incorporating anything from Baile Funk, Miami Bass, Ghetto Tech, and UKG, to Hardgroove, Baltimore / Jersey Club, and Jump Style. The producer, DJ and classical musician has graced the decks at Elsewhere, Bossa, Mood Ring, Kind Regards, and more. He’s also a resident DJ for Aritzia NYC, programmer at Deluxx Fluxx at their newest event series, SWEAT, resident at Half Moon BK and part of PAN!CROOM, a DJ collective which is quickly rising from the NYC night scene at the moment with monthly residency at Bossa Nova Civic Club. 👾 Artist spotlight: EMMALINE A conscious curator brings the heat with an energetic, genre-blurring blend of styles. @emmafine_ is a Bushwick-based DJ who traverses the realms of ukg, house, jungle, techno, footwork, and drum & bass. She curates the quarterly party BUCKLE UP BABY at Bossa Nova Civic Club, featuring femme-forward lineups of exciting local talent showcasing their high-octane selections. Through the use of organized chaos she strives to keep everyone on their toes from beginning to end. 👾 Artist spotlight: J.N.R. b2b zakariyah Two founders come together for a first-time b2b, starting things off @honeysbrooklyn with an upbeat blend of swingy ukg, breaks, and arresting vocals. @jessnellrob grounds her obsession with discovering new sounds in 15 years of classical training and endless hours spent on the dance floor. In addition to mixing, she runs OnlyFemmes, putting on parties and community-building events that platform femme DJs of all genders. J.N.R. sets are rooted in the raw expression of the 90s/00s: bumpy UKG, spacey prog, techy rollers, choppy breaks, and heady bass are all on the table. @zakariyah.nyc is a Brooklyn-based DJ who’s been playing at venues across NYC since 2018. His sets cross genres with ease, sharing a common thread of velvety bass, varied rhythms, and slick melodies. He’s also the creator and curator of IN-FUNCTION, a collective aiming to create fun, safe environments for celebration backed by rising stars in the scene, with a big focus on elevating talent from underrepresented groups.
