My latest and greatest for @subtleradio is live for your listening pleasure. Instead of going completely ham and starting off at my usual 140, I opted for a slower burn of minimal house, hypnotic prog & locked in grooves. You can take a listen to the whole thing at my link in bio.

Had a lovely time playing @nosignalnyc a few weeks back — I’m absolutely grateful to all my friends who showed up to hear me play in the luminous rave cave. I tried a lot of new things; mainly dramatically upping the frequency at which I maintained on all three decks for the duration of my set. The result is more chaotic and imperfect when compared to my other sets (which isn’t meant to be an apology). Fewer techy grooves with rolling basslines here & more straight-up techno & hardgroove. I didn’t quite know what I was setting into when I pulled up to a garage radiating with blue light, but what the @nosignalnyc folks are creating is something special and feels like actual community and not a part of a word salad on your favorite club’s social media page. You can listen to the whole set by either downloading their app (which features a ton of talented folks) or by following them in all the usual places.

This is a recording of my set from last month’s CHUFFED at @jupiter_disco . Despite it being earlier in the night, I kept it 140 with plenty of rolling basslines, sharp percussion & warped synth lines to keep you locked in.

After a brief hiatus, CHUFFED makes its return to dance floors in 2026 at Jupiter Disco. The rules are still the same: expect nothing less than 140 beats-per-minute. Starting the night off will be a b2b featuring CHUFFED head honcho David Lunch and Brooklyn-based PlayPlay, who channels a mixture of nostalgia, house music, bass & breaks to conjure demons. With prolific releases on Clasico Records, Sorry Records next to features on BBC Radio 1, NTS, Rinse FM & more, they’ve built a sonic point of view that is anything other than predictable. Level Party resident Alien D will be in the driver’s seat during peak time. Known for his trippy sets grounded in ambient, techno, dub & downtempo, he’ll be turning his downtempo fares to an uptempo place for CHUFFED. His tunes have been featured on Fixed Rhythms, 29 Speedway, Theory Therapy & more. Closing out the night will be PUFF, who harness slinky grooves and electrifying beats to bring the night to a close. My latest episode of CHUFFED on @subtleradio is here in time for Labor Day weekend. I’m joined by @aariellenyc of @headsknownyc for an hour of scorching-hot tunes fired off at a crispy 150BPM. I kick off the mix & Arielle closing things out. The full show is up at my link in bio. 
 This Sunday I’ll be playing the swan song of @earthlydelights.nyc , going back to back with Bush Duf head honcho @_lorenzob at 8PM. While I’m stoked to bring some psychedelic prog to Ridgewood’s Rave Cave™️, I’m gutted to see yet another club shut down — let alone one that bucked the trend of redundant bookings that are plaguing the scene. I’ll be forever grateful to both @t_serrian & @lukewangbonner for giving me the opportunity to bring CHUFFED to the dance floor.

On my first walk with Vali, he took an enormous poop in front of Balthazar while a gaggle of European tourists watched in horror. Which is to say that I got his vibe straight away. I loved all of his idiosyncrasies. He’d never jump on a couch or a bed without an invitation of “you’ve got it!”. He’d give you passive-aggressive side eye if he wanted your attention. His way of declaring that he wanted a treat was to make clomping sounds at me until I complied. On walks he’d obstinately plant his feet if I wasn’t walking toward a park he liked. Or if I tried to pass a pet store without his permission. Or if I simply wanted to walk east on Cypress Avenue. Vali had a contentious relationship with water. Very few things made him happier than an open fire hydrant, but he’d aggressively bark at the ocean (big! scary!) and would run to bury his head between my legs whenever the shower would randomly drip. He hated baths, and eventually figured out a way to open the sliding glass door of my shower to escape if I dropped my attention for a second. If there was a Tinder for dogs, Vali’s profile would’ve crashed their servers. Hubba hubba. 404 not found. On days where I was so depressed I didn’t want to leave the apartment, Vali pushed me out the door and out of my funk. He’d give me his version of a hug where he’d press his entire body weight into me. When I would DJ at home, Vali would park himself in front of the decks & vibe out, ensuring I always had an audience. Last summer, we found out that Vali had cancer in his throat that had metastasized from his spleen. Compounded with the fact that he was eleven years old, we didn’t know how many more days we’d get with him. It’s a small miracle that I’m writing this one year after his diagnosis; the borrowed time we got was a gift. I grew up with cats, but I never really had a pet as an adult. I love animals, but I never saw the inevitable heartbreak of losing your pet as worth it. Vali was absolutely worth it. Rest in power, my sweet king.
