My latest @swu.fm show is now up for you all to listen back to.
Massive respect to @kooxla for absolutely duppying the guest mix. A proper club session from a real talent. Techno infused Latin riddims, scorched jackers, touches of club material and some grimy UK flavours all weaved into this heady session. Iโm biased but this is a special one. If youโve been living under a rock and not checked KOOXLAโs stuff then do so and enrich your lives.

With releases on Clasico, Juke Bounce Werk and DALF records, gigs all over and appearances on The Lot Radio, KOOXLA is making some serious waves and one to look out for. KOOXLAโs Club Depot series showcases his own inspired interpretations of the Jersey Club sound whilst his original productions combine Galvanised Latincore stylings and textured breakbeats, with enough percussive techno drive to twist minds, move feet and crush sound systems. KOOXLAโs tunes have been a mainstay of my sets and radio shows, therefore getting him on for his SWU debut was a total no brainier. KOOXLAโs mix starts around the 50 minute mark.
I put together a club ready concoction of US club music with a few UK bits thrown in for the first part of the show. Includes tunes by @thedjtechnics@djsegatheblackknight@djreezey@djtameil@club_south_infinite@_kadeyoung plus more.

With releases on Clรกsico Recs (UK), RFT (US), Juke Bounce Werk (US), and DALF Records (FR) KOOXLAs clever takes on fun yet Very Serious Jersey Club edits reminiscent of the SoundCloud golden age have become a mainstay on NYC sound systems and USBs of DJs in North America, Europe and Japan. His original productions such as the OUTSIDE.EXE LP explore hybridizing contemporary latincore motifs with breakbeat flair and have been thoroughly rinsed by DJs worldwide. Although a bit of a recluse, KOOXLA can be found playing on the Bushwick circuit (Bossa Nova, Mood Ring, Elsewhere, Jupiter Disco), Lot Radio, and more recently venturing forth to play in other US cities such as San Francisco (F8), Baltimore (The Crown, The Compound), or Seattle (Timbre Room). KOOXLA is also a member of the Booty Bass Lift party trio alongside Third Self and She.They.DJ founder Bossy Boots - a very NYC collective known for their high energy ass shaking parties for the freaks incorporating electro, club, techno, and juke.
