12 years after following Nick and Ben down the Price I finally got a chance with @soft_corr and @nomadikmax to repeat our descent in amazing conditions. The line goes a bit different now due to the receding glacier tongue and icefall chute. Thanks to @parisgore for the flight and Corey for routefinding.
A sunny walk in the park this week provided deep pow on the potentially virgin northwest panel of east fury. Thanks @soft_corr and @t.k._kromer for the great trip.
Was just settling in to a dream job after 10+ years as an introduction. I have given my heart and back to the lands I’m in love with and was recently let go with letter stating “The Agency finds, based on your performance, that you have not demonstrated that your
further employment at the Agency would be in the public interest.”
I hope for the sake of our public lands that we continue to have access and stewards to maintain. Without seasonal staffing it’s up to the public to do their part. pack in, pack out, dispose of waste properly and bend over to pick up a stick in the trail.
Really going to miss your stoke, John. You packed a lot in while you were here. The roads may be a little safer and the lift lines a little quieter, but for the loss of your passion and genuine love for your community. You made our lives better.
The climbing along the North Fork can be fickle, mossy, drippy, shaded. But what we do have is alpine and glacier ice climbing. Love tapping into this style of climbing.

Cannot describe the gratitude I have for being back in the hills this April. Only two months ago I spent 4 days in the hospital getting new hardware in my shoulder and strict regulations from orthopedic. Ecstatic about conditions, company and location.
