Two months ago today, I lost my hero.
Thinking about you extra today Dad.
I’m still contemplating the things I got to learn from you. A few things among a lifelong list. How to walk, how to smile, how to swing a hammer and dock a boat. You taught me how to ski, how to appreciate nature. You taught me that nothings cooler than bending modest. That if you learn how to create things that are tangible you’ll always be alright. You taught me how to follow my dreams. To work hard. How to live life on your own terms. How to occasianly disobey authority. You were as cool as they come.
Im Forever grateful for all the opportunity’s you gave me and that I got to call you my Dad.
Love you, Happy Father’s Day.
Max (upper left) was probably a little stressed that I didn’t leave much of a track on the whole upper face... at least the corn on the rest of the run was in good shape. Looked at this thing for awhile nice to finally give it a go.
Took long enough but I made a little edit of a epic trip into the Picket Range this past winter. Something I’ve been dreaming about for a few years now. Finally got the right weather window mid-March. Despite the fact we got turned around 2/3 the way up the Degenhardt by a short bus sized serac fall. Riding almost 5000’ of powder on the wrong side of the fence was more than worth the 4 day effort. Scoped enough lines to keep me dreaming for years to come. Shoutout to Max for being the most solid partner a guy could ask for and for being on the other end of the rope. Can’t wait to go back. #picketrange #pickets #splitboarding #bushwack
(Warning non-snowboard related content) Been slacking on the gram lately. Thought I’d share a few pieces of furniture that I designed and built this last fall at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking. Thanks @kevin_reiswig and @seth_rolland_furniture for all the support, influence and wisdom. Now that snowboard season is winding down I’m looking forward to making some sawdust soon. #woodworking #porttownsendschoolofwoodworking #furniture # sawdust.
