This @deakinuniversity University Law School Building is one of Industry Cladding & Roofing's most impressive and challenging projects to date due to it's unique shape. Collaboration between the architect, builder and our team ensured this outstanding result was achieved. The Challenge Each Titanium Zinc panel not only had to curve, but taper. Imagine peeling an orange: every segment curved around, as well as up and down. This is the first project in Australia, to feature a three-dimensional curving system that runs throughout the complete façade package. In addition to superior levels of craftsmanship, material specification was essential to the successful delivery of the project. This is why fifty tonne of Zinc flat coil was turned into curved standing seam to achieve the desired look, making this one of the largest ever orders of VMZinc in Australia. In addition to our work on the façade, Industry Cladding & Roofing also supplied and installed Spandek® to the building’s plant screen and level eight walls, VitraDual to the soffits, and Klip-lok® Colorbond® to its roofs. Congratulations to the Woods Bagot team for taking out the gold medal in the World Architecture News (WAN) Awards for this project. A combination of architecture, innovation and engineering, backed by a true tenacity of spirit in the face of doubt—that’s what it took to deliver the recently completed façade of the $30M Latrobe Valley GovHub. The GovHub features the world’s largest light gauge steel-clad façade modules. While a design of this magnitude is theoretically possible, in the real-world, the on-site challenges can be an uphill battle. Overcoming these challenges, Industry Cladding & Roofing and their partners engineered, fabricated and installed the façade, complete with 18 light gauge steel modules craned into position and hooked onto the building. Each module was 8m wide and 14.5m high, and comprised over 3 tonnes of @bluescopeaus @truecoresteel . Industry Cladding & Roofing also supplied and installed: over 4,000m2 of @colorbondsteel standing seam cladding and roofing and @unicotesteel LUX Ashwood interlocking panels for the GovHub’s external walls, and soffits; as well as over 2,000m2 of Klip-lok® roofing, box gutters and ridge capping. Collaboration between the client, local government and associated trades, combined with extensive construction experience and knowledge, ensured that the architect’s design intent was easily achieved. ✨ Project Showcase — Aikenhead Centre of Excellence We’re proud to showcase our contribution to the Aikenhead Centre of Excellence, where design innovation meets technical precision. A standout feature of this project is the custom louvre interlocking panel system, purpose-built to deliver both architectural impact and functional performance. Designed and fabricated to integrate seamlessly within the internal wall cladding when not in use but allow natural light to enter the theatre when required. This bespoke solution required close coordination across design, fabrication and construction teams to ensure every panel aligned perfectly — both visually and structurally. 950m2 of @vmzincaustralia Quartz and COLORBOND® steel was installed across the roofing and cladding package. 🚧 Under Construction Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery We’re proud to be part of the team delivering the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery – with builder @kaneconstructions and Architect @dentoncorkermarshall located at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. Our scope; - Installation of @vmzincaustralia cladding on the entrance soffit which seamlessly transitions into the multi level foyer. - Bespoke louvre solution with zinc cladding installed onto louvre frames. The Quartz zinc panels juxtapose the Corten perforated stair balustrade beautifully. - High level of detailing with corner panels being mechanically folded offsite so not to put stress on the panels.
